Guest guest
The thing that stuck out to me the most was the amount of biotin that he is getting. I see you are only giving 6mg. a day. My son requires at least 15 mgs. a day to control yeast issues. I don't know anything about taurine so I can't comment on that. Also, have you tried melatonin for the sleep issues and 5HTP to help keep him asleep? Those are what we do here and my son is sleeping every night now.. Hope you get some relief! [ ] Hyper!! Make him Stop! My son is so hyper he can't be still. He constantly runs through the house, jumps on the couch and bed laughing hysterically. I started the OLE+Lysine 2 days ago (2 hours apart). I thought maybe it was yeast but he gets 6000mcg of biotin daily and OoO several times a day. He can't take GSE cause of seizure meds. He doesn't wanna sleep. He's been running and laughing since 2:00am. He's always hyper but this is extreme, dangerous hyper. The last time he acted like this was last year when the neuro tried him on celexa to control OCD. I took him off of it after 2 months of the celexa because of this behavior. I found out recently that the hyperness meant the celexa was working and we was seeing the real him. I was wondering if the OLE and Lysine is fixing the OCD maybe thats why he can't be still. This is the exact same behavior as before with the celexa. What will it take to calm him down? Does viral/yeast die- off or overgrowth cause the hyperactivity? Isn't taurine suppose to be calming, he takes 250 mgs twice daily. Should I up it some? He has alot of the symptoms of adrenal fatigue too. Could this be causing some problems? After last night I almost wanted to start the clomipramine today. The clomipramine is suppose to raise serotonin levels. What could I try that would be a good substitute? Guest guest
Try adding some extra folinic that seemed to help my party boy Grandson. Of course the behavior you are describing is yeast at our house but the folinic did help with the hyperactivity a LOT. Yes, OLE and lysine [also good to use vitamin C] are very good at addressing viruses. However, viral die off caused massive amounts of yeast here. Try increasing the biotin. Your dose is minimal. You can also increase the OoO. You can reduce the OLE/lysine, that will tend to reduce the yeast. > I was wondering if the OLE and Lysine is fixing the OCD maybe thats > why he can't be still. Anti-virals did eliminate OCD at my house, but the yeast they caused was tremendous, more yeast than even with chelation. > He has alot of the symptoms of adrenal fatigue too. Guest guest
I just got my oldest son's CDSA back, and haven't used anything on him other than diflucan, probi's and sacc b, but his sensitivities testing showed his strains were resistant to Oregano, tanalbit and uva ursi (non RX). also to Itraconazole (RX). Said things it was not resistant to are: berberine, caprylic acid, goldenseal, undecylenic acid (non RX). also to fluconazole, ketoconazole, nystatin (RX). maybe something on this list can help someone with rotation. --- Jenna <jennaj13@...> wrote: > > > > Don't be so sure the yeast is under control. Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: Amy He's been on the biotin for about 3 months and the OoO for about a month now. Would it be resistant already? ====>Yep, sure could be, some of the things that worked great for yeast became obsolete within a few weeks to a month. And this " don't rotate antiyeast supplements " doesn't make sense to me, you're supposed to keep giving what no longer works? I'm sure missing something here and I've gone round and round with this in my head, thinking of both the reasons people say to rotate and Andy says not to rotate. But what is your option when what you have been giving and has been working...is no longer working? Amy > > > > > Don't be so sure the yeast is under control. Guest guest
you could be having more yeast die off too and that would be a reason for the change. I would just up the biotin. Guest guest
If you are not giving him some trace minerals, I think it is worth trying. Kirkman has a supplement called MinerAll which has Ca, Mg plus many trace minerals. For example, Lithium and Chromium deficiency can cause hyper activity. When I checked dmpsbackfire.com, the side-effects were mostly associated with mineral and trace mineral depletion. So, one could conclude that probably DMPS will do the same and deplete the body of these minerals. I have seen very good results with supplementing trace minerals. I have not gotten around checking the blood or urine levels of thses minerals yet. Hopefully, I'll do it soon. Kaylee > > > > > > > > > > > > > Don't be so sure the yeast is under control. It might be yeast despite what you're giving him -- antivirals, especially OLE, IME, cause a ton of yeast. Possibly even uncontrollable yeast. I would add whatever other antifungals you've got, see if that helps, and reduce the dosage of the lysine/OLE. If that doesn't work I'd stop the antivirals, chelate some more, and try again later. Guest guest
You might also try adding some folic acid. Helped with hyper from immune system stuff alot here. Yeast won't become resistant to biotin. Possibly OoO. Dana
