Guest guest
Andy's Hair Test Interpretation book is based on DD, so that is what I use, though I believe he has said that you could use Great Plains' test as well. Guest guest
I have a hair test done from Trace Elements Lab (that's what our holistic doc uses) and I just bought Andy's book (try to read some tonight). i will be supper disappointed if I cannot use it to interpret my hair test results. Aren't these tests all similar? Don't they look for the same kind of problems? Thanks ahead Leo
Guest guest
www.directlabs.com It is correct that evilly corrupt state and federal laws prohibit clinical laboratories from dointg direct business or talking to anyone who might actually know what they are doing and be able to help with some quality control and interpretive issues. However given the current situation there are work-arounds, one being direct laboratory services. Anyone who knows other businesses that do this is encouraged to post. Guest guest
In Hair Test Interpretation, Andy gives counting rules for a few specific hair tests - Doctors Data is the best choice. Great Plains is also fine, it is the same test. If you want to apply the counting rules to check for mercury in a child, you need to use one of these. GSDL used to be okay, but they never had good ref ranges and also the test has changed since Andy developed counting rules for it. So it is not a good choice. For adults, there are a few other labs that can be used, but since they do not break down the reference ranges by age they can't be used for children. This includes Trace Elements, Inc. -- > > I have a hair test done from Trace Elements Lab (that's what our holistic > doc uses) and I just bought Andy's book (try to read some tonight). i will > be supper disappointed if I cannot use it to interpret my hair test results. > > Aren't these tests all similar? Guest guest
Thanks for the test info - I will order. Guest guest
I did Great Plains last year with Blue Cross of MN. They covered 100%. Was awesome. I only wish our insurance hadn't changed. We had it for years and it was only this past year did I jump on the biomedical ban wagon! Now I'm in your ship and with FSA. I'm hoping to just give my credit card number and pay cash and apply to deductible. So I'm hoping! Tammy [ ] Re: need help getting hair elements test Thanks for the test info - I will order. Guest guest
All I had to do for FSA to cover this was to submit the insurance denial to the benefits office. FSA will also cover doc ordered supplements - I just wrote a list out and doc signed it. > > > I did Great Plains last year with Blue Cross of MN. > > They covered 100%. Was > > awesome. Guest guest
You an but it's harder to interpret..that is what mine was...my kids were DDI..with that experience..I would go with DDI if you have a choice. There was something on the DDI that was not on the GSDL...can't remember what but at the time I was looking for it, I had wished my test was DDI too. I would go with the DDI personally. > > >>>> > > > > > >>>> > > > I e-mailed and asked how to get a hair elements > > >>> > > test and this was > > >>> > > the > > >>>> > > > response I got? Guest guest
Jada - Not sure who the question is geared towards, but here goes mine. My doctor had to sign mine and give it a code. Great Plains sends all the paper work and you fill out the insurance part and send a photo copy of your insurance info. Was made very easy.
