Since Don mentioned he used baking soda and sea salt...I have been using

this...and I made a wonderful trade with someone for some Tooth & Gum

formula so I have been using both of these. Basically I push the

baking soda/salt mixture onto my tooth brush and drop a few drops of the

Tooth & Gum formula onto my tooth brush and brush away. I have

noticed that since I started doing this my gums no longer bleed and the

pain I had in some of my teeth is now diminishing. Now if I could

only find that 35% (or whatever it is..lol) food grade peroxide I would

be in hog heaven!! I want to make a peroxide rinse. Any ideas

on where I can purchase this stuff?? I checked my local health food

store and they no longer carry it. Can I use regular peroxide...I

believe it is 3% that you buy in the stores?

My daughter sent me a book by a dentist abt what is in toothpaste

[most commercial brands] and

onme of the others book-napped it; I

was shocked by the chemicals in toothpaste.....it must be a dump for

stuff they don't know how to handle!!why make yourself sick and make

some of the billionaires richer? use a good natural toothpaste such

as Tom's of Maine...it is pricey, but you dont have to use a lot...

You are much better leaving the 3% alone. It is full of stabilizers and

other garbage that you really don't wish to ingest into your body. Best

is to find some 35% H2O2.

Check out other pharmacies or chemical supply houses. They will almost

always carry it. If not then look online as there is a lot of reputable

companies selling it online.

Tom's of Maine does have one controversial ingredient - Sodium lauryl

sulfate. Some say it is safe to use, some say it isn't. I use a

toothpaste that doesn't have this ingredient in it just to be safe.

I don't know where you can find food grade hydrogen peroxide. I have something called Hydrogen Peroxide Mouthwash (H.P.M.) made by Heritage Products in Virginia Beach. (They carry a lot of Edgar Cayve formulas). It has hydrogen peroxide, eucalyptus oil, thyme oil and menthol in it.

I have to agree with you here Joan. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is not a

natural compound even though they would have you believe it is. Yes, it

may come from coconuts but it has to be chemically processed to get it

out. To me that is not natural. There will always be traces of the other

chemicals used. SLS is also used in most shampoos, conditioners and

commercial soaps too.
