However, the oil itself can be considered whole as long as it is stone ground or pressed, at very low heat, and not filtered or refined, thus retaining everything that would be in it. It is always best to use unrefined, non-filtered stone ground or cold pressed oils anyway. I might be wrong but I believe that olive oil is usually the only one that you can find that is not filtered.
