fresh raw, organic garlic and lots of it...it helps with blood pressure,

cholesterol levels and helps build a healthy immune system feeding the good

bacteria.....I am not sure if he can take large amounts of garlic while on

the meds??

Subject: Re Hawthorne and the heart

I read the article Suzi sent about Hawthorne and the heart....my dh

has been on heart and blood pressure meds for the last six months

and I was wondering if he could take a tincture of Hawthorne &

Ginkgo while being on he's regular meds? He's really had trouble

with blood pressure and they just keep making his dose stronger.

Have you heard of someone controlling their blood pressure just with

herbs? Anyone had personal experence with this?

I have....my father... of course he has a doctor who is understanding when it comes to herbs... you need to know what he is taking and how it interacts with the herbs.

My father still takes some BP meds (stubborn)... but alot less than he used to take...

He doesn't stay on herbs (85 and set in his ways to an extent)...but herbs brought down his meds considerably.

Hi ,

Lots of fresh raw garlic and cayenne. Also, dietary changes. The reason

blood pressure gets high is due to too much mucus in the blood. The

blood is too sticky or thick. It gets too hard to pump so the heart has

to work harder and push harder. He should do some juice cleansing and

change his diet to a more natural alkaline diet of lots of fresh fruits

and fresh green leafy vegetables. Also some lightly steamed vegetables

but very little potatoes. Cut out the dairy and meat or cut way down on

them and sprout all grains. Get him drinking lots of RO or distilled

water with fresh lemon juice added to help dissolve the mucus.

A bowel cleanse will help and a total body cleansing will really help

him immensely. He does not have to be on meds to control his BP. He can

control it himself if he really wishes to do so. It is his choice in

which way he wishes to handle the situation.

We are here to help you to help him . Peace be with you.

If he is going to drink beer regularly he will never get better... I understand his problem... and trust me he has to quit... he could have one once in a while but the problem will continue with his sinuses with beer.

Don, you are so right...he's also fighting a sinus infection and just full of mucus. I makeup a solution of salt & Goldenseal for the nose and that seems to be working. He's diet is fresh vegies, fruit little meat, no dairy. he's downfall is beer...after one he is congested...he doesn't drink alot of beer but it's like an allergic reation when he has one. I will show him your e-mail and maybe that will help him get his act together. Thanks for your help.

Hi ,

Sorry I'm a little late on this one but what meds is your DH on? I don't

see much contraindications for Gingko and Hawthrone to any BP or heart

meds. The hawthorne, cayenne and ginger will help to reduce his blood

pressure a lot, thus helping him to get off the meds. He does need to

clean out the mucus from his body though. That can be done with fasting

or juice cleansing and changing his diet to a more raw or vegan diet.
