I have a glass cutting board I use on the smooth side and a razor I boil before using to sterilize. I then empty the pill and divide as best I can into 8. You would probably split into 4 which would give a bit more than 6 mg. (6.25). Then I fold a post it in half ..scrape the dose onto that with the razor and put it in an empty v-cap for later. After you get used to it its pretty fast. I do a whole round at once and keep in a bottle. Just one way I know there are other good ways people use. ps A very small amount does stick to the v-cap so going a tiny bit over the dose will compensate. [ ] how to divide doses? If I buy Kirkmans 25mg of ALA, how do I measure 6 mg doses? Is there some tiny spoon I can buy or do I eyeball it into 5ths? Sorry if this is a dumb question. There is a way you can make lots of these if you have a capsule machine, in about 5 minutes. I used to do this capsule by capsule and it's hard. [ ] how to divide doses? If I buy Kirkmans 25mg of ALA, how do I measure 6 mg doses? Is there some tiny spoon I can buy or do I eyeball it into 5ths? Sorry if this is a dumb question. Guest guest Posted January 13, 2008 Report Share Posted January 13, 2008 I have an idea, would it work if you took a 5cc syringe, open the 25 mg capsule and mixed with 5cc of distilled water, this way every 1cc would deliver 5 mg of ALA, I wonder if that would work?
