Guest guest
The thread about whether or not the have the eval to remove the ASD Dx has me thinking. My son is uninsurable because of his Autism Diagnosis (we are privately insured because husband is self-employed). Like Dana mentioned, would having a prior Dx or Autism make you uninsurable, too? Anyone able to get their child health care coverage that once was denied simply because the Dx was removed? Autism isn't like cancer, diabetes and such; they can't tell us there is a risk of another occurrance or even a risk of other health problems. Do they qualify ASD as a mental illness, insurance speaking, or a physical illness? A developmental disorder? Are all developmental delays a cause to deny insurance later in life after you've overcome them? What a mess. Pam
