Guest guest
You're very welcome Kathy.. Sounds like you're headed in the right direction Yes you can add raw egg to your smoothie... What herbs are you referring to that you never heard of? Try MSM and deep tissue repair oil in place of nuproxen.. also there have been some messages last month on herbs for pain... check the message archives.. type in pain I just posted an article on cold buster... check it out. for treating colds, pneumonia etc.. Try some herbal teas in place of coffee. ok enough for now... you're doing great. Suzi Kathy <kthynn@...> wrote: I so appreciate the advice I am getting on here. Don and Suzi, you are wonderful. I have been searching the archives for any information I can find. The only problem I have is..some of these herbs I have never heard of and don't know where to start. I talked to my husband today and I am going to try to start growing as much as I can of the vegetables I will be eating. I have gardened for years but slacked off when I started working more. I see now this was a big no no. I live in the country and I have chickens and ducks and we do use the eggs but never have I had raw. That will take some doing. Maybe there is a way to slip it in a smoothie? I left out the fact that I am on many prescription medications. Many being, right now a total of 8 different ones. I am really serious about getting healthy so I am going to get myself off of all of it if possible. Most of it is coming to an end anyway. It was for the pneumonia. I take the effexor as I stated earlier but also lasix daily. I lost 80 pounds a couple of years ago and had gotten to a point that I no longer needed the lasix. But, I have let myself gain 30 of those pounds back and this is where my medical problems started again. I am on Naproxen to treat my arm. My son's great dane and I had a run in and dislocated and broke my right elbow in 6 places. This happened last March and I am still having surgeries! UGH..look out for those horses people! lol Like I said, we live in the country on 3 acres with a stocked pond and being an animal lover I have the chickens, ducks and 6 dogs plus various wildlife. I have all of the space to grow most anything but I dont totally understand what organic is. Is this just where no chemical are used to control pests and weeds? Is it okay to add manure to the soil?I did really well today on cutting back on my coffee. Only 2 pots! woo hoooo and I haven't even made a pot for this evening. I am sooo proud of myself! I use coffee as a comfort food. When I get stressed, tired or anything..I grab coffee. Today I have drank more water. I buy my water from a place that does the reverse osmosis? thing. Our tap water is horrible so that is one thing I already have going for me. I don't mean to go on here. I am just excited. I am very interested in the smoothies. Sounds like something I can whip up and drink on my way to work. I normally don't eat anything until 1 in the evening. Normally just have coffee until lunch. That is about to change. I found the water is easier to get down with lemon in it.Ok, I am going to stop now. If anyone can give me advice on which herbs would be the best to start out with I would so appreciate it. I am in this for the long run. But, I am one to give up fairly easy so if you don't mind, I will keep coming back for support. I want to see what it feels like to feel good again!Love to all,Kathy in Louisiana

I want > to see what it feels like to feel good again! > > Love to all, > Kathy in Louisiana =============================== Hi Kathy, You won't go wrong on getting yourself a vegetable garden going. By all means, the manure is much better than the chemical fertilizers. Fertilize it, mulch it with grass clippings, wood chips, paper, start a compost heap and use that too. All natural ingredients. Congrats on only drinking two pots of coffee. That is an achievement worth shouting about. Just slowly continue to reduce the amount you drink and supplement herbal teas. Yes the ones in the store are fine. Just try and get the ones that do not contain any caffeine. RO water is very good now start adding in some fresh squeezed lemon juice to each and every glass you drink. This will help your body in its detox by helping to clear the liver and by dissolving mucus all the way down to the cellular level. Also, do not just dump your meds. That can create a lot of problems. Best would be to slowly reduce the amount you take every day. You will naturally do this anyway as you detox and go more raw. Which herbs are you talking about that you have never heard of? Some really good ones to start with will be Echinacea, sage, yarrow, chamomile, lavender, lobelia, peppermint, and don't forget garlic, horseradish, horehound, lemon balm, onions. I am sure Suzi will give you another large list as will some of the other members. We are here as your support group Kathy. Anytime you need advice, have a question or just need to chat we are here. Feel free to do any of those. Peace be with you Kathy and best of luck on your new lifestyle. You can do it, you can make this change and you will feel much healthier for it. You will also be able to get off the meds too. -- Peace, love and light, Don " Quai " Eitner " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man.
