Guest guest
Makes no difference. For example if she's due for a dose at 5pm and you normally give her vitamins at 4pm, then do that. If she is due to a vitamins at 8am and she also needs a dose..give it. Andy has said that it does not matter when you give the supplements in relation to the dmsa. For us I have not seen it matter either. It would be virtually impossible to dose it all a certain number of hours apart. > > Hi, we finally are at the point and started DMSA at 4pm today. If this is correct and not a typo, please tell me how you were able to divide the capsule down to 5mg? We started off at 50mg every 8 hours when my son was two and it was raised to 100mg later on. Guest guest
5 mgs Dmsa is fine, to start with, not hard to divide by 5 as capsules come in 25 mgs. We started with 4 mgs Dsma and on the third day of that very first round our little one participated in a 5 minute reciprocal conversation, something she had not done for quite some time. 8 hour dosing is not recommended due to the problems that a LOT of kids have with infrequent dosing causing redistribution. This does not happen with all kids, but it happens with enough regularity that 8 hour dosing is not recommended, or to put it another way, why take a chance. Guest guest
50 mg every 8 hours is not Andy's protocol. I hope your son did ok on that. I know when I first began 12.5 mg gave me side effects. My 5 year old takes 12.5 mg which is the upper end for his weight. I only take 25 mg myself and I had to work up to tolerating that much. Low is the way to go. So 5mg is a fine starting place. > > > > Hi, we finally are at the point and started DMSA at 4pm today. My > > daughter is 5 and we started at 5mg. Guest guest
Charlie, What chelation protocol did you use with your son? At age two, you started at 50 mg every 8 hours as per the DAN protocol? How long did you chelate at that level before going to 100 mg? And how long did you chelate before your son recovered? Thanks, > > > > Hi, we finally are at the point and started DMSA at 4pm today. My > > daughter is 5 and we started at 5mg. Guest guest
Charlie's son, Lenny, is now fully recovered from autism. He has a video up per another site. So, I think it's an example that there can be an alternative, successful method as well. > > > > > > Hi, we finally are at the point and started DMSA at 4pm today.
