Guest guest
Hi, I'm in the same boat. I have a 2 1/2 year old asd son and I'm due with another son at the end of June. Autism can sometimes suck the joy out of even having a new baby and I understand your fear or concern. Emotionally, I'm seeing a therapist to help me share my feelings about how devasting it's been to see our first born go though this. He has been so sick in his young life so far and how tramatizing it's been for me to try and find a way- anyway to help him. I'm on a homeopathic remedy to help with anxiety. I'm eating all organic and staying away from anything " toxic or bad " . I'm seeing my son's DAN! doc for prenatal care and have been tested to what nutrients I'm deficient in. I'm taking Vit D and a good probiotic (the only thing proven so far to help prevent allergies in your new baby). I'm taking 3) super nu thera, 1) additional folic acid, Iron, plus a " greens drink " . I'm trying to eat lots of organic veggies. It's great to drink fresh juice. I did have a coke today and yum! it tasted so good! I really needed a treat today! Lastly, Like your child, I believe my sons gut problems and later autism started with far too many antibiotics before and during his birth. No doctor ever mentioned giving my baby a probiotic. Also, maybe genetics and the Hep B at birth contributed to it as well. I hope to avoid any anti biotics for our new son as well. I think our choice is to not vaccinate. I'm hoping to nurse our next child as well but I also want to give some breast milk to my older son if he can tolerate it. I will have to eat his diet and I'm really not looking forward to that. I certainly don't have it all figured out but this is the best I could come with to reduce the chance of another child going through this. Just remember that the chances are most likely that your little girl will be born very healthy and now that you are educated, if anything comes up with your next child you will be able to find a solution to help her. On the vaccination front, in the U.S.-it's a choice to vaccinate or not. I know kids that have never been vaccinated and are in their senior year and have not been excluded from anything. Just stay informed and take your time making a decision- there is no rush. I hope you enjoy this pregnacy and that it is a healthy, happy time. May your family all enjoy good health. Guest guest
Its your choice in Canada NOT to vaccinate. Be sure to request that your child not be vaccinated in the hospital or decline the RSV support (a vaccine in my opion but they don't call it that). Also you can refuse the eye drops and vitamin K shot too. Better yet, birth at home if you and your baby are healthy. To exempt your child from vaccines, go to the health unit, ask for an exemption form and take it to city hall and sign it there. (This is what we did) The charge was only $5. The health unit will still send you nasty letters but they mean nothing. It is your right NOT to vaccinate. What diet is your son currently on? We have recovered our kids through diet, reverse osmosis water, and some supplements. We are still on the road to start chelation for the whole family soon. Guest guest
It is your constitutional RIGHT to not vaccinate in Canada. There are many people who will tell you otherwise in regard to school, etc. Do not believe them. If I were pregnant, I would also be taking a supp that is a good source of methyl donors, such as sublingual B12. Also cultured food and/or plenty of probiotics to make sure my bacterial levels were good. Do try not to worry. I know that is easy to say, but worrying won't help anyone. Not you, your baby, or your other child. Guest guest
> giving my son 2/12 year old son Super Nutera from Kirkman Lab 1 tsp > daily do you think i should start taking them too?I asked my OB-Gyn > and she doesnt agree to my suggestion of taking this vitamin > supplement. It has high doses of certain vitamins, and low doses of others. I don't know whether the proportion would be acceptable for pregnancy.
