Guest guest
Hi, Just wanted to give a quick update on this and ask a Q re. biotin. Despite all my attempts to only do one supp. at a time, I decided to 3 changes. The reason being a very uncomfortable, spitting, OCD child. So per NAET doctor, I added zinc back in 20 mg per day in addition to multi, at night. I know for this to work (for the spitting) you need to give a few days, which I did (about 3 days). The spitting continued with perhaps somewhat lesser intensity. At the same time, Evan went through a bug, or a virus went through him, which manifested in fever and diarrhea. He is still home b/c of the diarrhea. He has been very rigid and tantrumy now for about 2 weeks, which may have been the beginning of this virus, and has been a major complaint besides the spitting. Anyhow, I started giving HIGH doses of Inositol, as someone suggested I would, and the intensity of my sons rigidity and tantrums decreased by about 60%. I upped the inositol just yesterday. I also added Biotin (4 mg divided into 2 doses) accodrding to Dana, and took Uva Ursi out. Now I am not sure if this is possible at all but I had a smiling and calmly sleeping child within 2-3 hours of giving him his first dose last night. He slept really well, not squeezing me and tortured by anxiety....He keeps smiling today. Still spitting though. But what a change from the anxious and upset child I had before! So thanks for all the advice to everyone.......I did have one more question - how far up can you go with biotin, and do you have to rotate that or can I just keep him on that? I am happy with how my son's acting and feeling right now but once we start detox, I know yeast will go up. Can I up the biotin, or would you do something else then? Anyhow, thanks so much for everyone's advice. All have been so helpful!
