RE: root cellar- was meat

Hi Buffy,Okay this is a new one for me. I have never heard of anyone who had a river run through their root cellar. Definitely keep it moist, that's for sure. Interesting concept. I would think that the extra moisture would promote rotting, etc. Hmmmm.....

I guess I should have explained a little better... our root cellar is a two story structure tucked into the side of a hill. The lower level, where the springs will be routed will be more like a well house for keeping our goats milk (for soaps & lotions) & some of our soft cheeses. The 2nd story will actually be the root cellar. Does that make a little more sense? LOL Sorry about that.
