Guest guest
I'm not an expert on this, but would think that any oil could become rancid when heated beyond it's smoke point, or reused again and again. I don't use olive oil but I thought it was good for high heat cooking? Not sure. We use coconut oil. Most of the good oils will say on the bottle whether their are low, medium, or high heat. > > > In a message dated 1/10/2008 8:21:18 AM Central Standard Time, Threebabygirs > writes: > > didn't know that heated olive oil is rancid when cooked. Guest guest
I wish my kid liked coconut oil! He thinks it is gross. Guest guest
Hi Anne I don't know what all you son likes to eat, but you could try using it in some homeade muffins. I use it in all of those type of recipes. I absolutely LOVE vegetables stir-fried in coconut oil, yum, as does my oldest daughter. Unfortunately, my younger dd won't touch stir-fried veggies, or any other veggies except carrots, unless they are disguised into a muffin or some nut butter. I'm getting ready to start moving toward SCD with her and I've really got to come up with some creative veggie ideas so it won't be too heavy on the protein. Feeding our kids healthy food just shouldn't be so hard, ya know?
