Guest guest
I think Andy has talked about the iron issue. Giving lots of antioxidants, cooking on cast iron, not overcooking red meat, are all natural ways to get natural iron in. Look in onibasu to see what you can find, and maybe check his diet file. Guest guest
Just wanted to give you some input on iron supplementation and metal toxicity. Increasing iron intake naturally like your doing is ok. Supplementing it however.... So you right to avoid the supplements. As I read it in Andy's books: Iron is toxic and also an oxidizer. People with mercury toxicity..there bodies are under a lot of oxidative stress, one of the ways the body handles this is to dump what oxidizers it can. Since it cannot dump the mercury, it dumps the iron. Supplementing iron often makes mercury toxic people feel worse, and does not correct the imbalance. Once the mercury is lessened, the body will then correct this imbalance by once again storing iron. As for the red cheeks..fenols or yeast?? I found the being a bit fidgety on ALA can be part of it. I get that way myself. It's like all the sudden I have a bit more energy, and I can think clearly and I have all this ambition to get tons of things done. Of course, once I stop the ALA....I got back to tired, don't want to do much. We also found that in the beginning of chelation, dmsa messed up sleep. It was hard to fall asleep or stay asleep. We had to use melatonin on rounds, and sometimes for a few nights after. For myself, my son and daughter..all had this problem. My older NT child has to take melatonin every night. My 5 yr old only needs it with rounds. Same with me. But as we got on in chelation, I have noticed we need it less, and they are able to sleep better. Being a tiny bit more tired we found too. Naps are great, or giving some extra vitamin C. > > > > Ok we are in the middle of round four. Seems my son shows > reactions to > > things most by getting a red nose and cheeks. Guest guest
I know it can be difficult. My son had constipation problems before chelation and yeast. Which has really been no worse with chelation. Unfortunately the yeast won't go away until we get farther into chelation. Have to get the metals out to get the yeast gone. I have to say yeast was a bear probably the first 10 rounds but got more manageable as we continued. We are on round 31 now, and it does flare up on the round, and I have to increase the GSE. I found that gringing up some GSE tablets and putting a bit of the powder in with each dose of dmsa/ala..really helped with the yeast. But yes, the yeast does appear quickly with chelation. The key it to keep it manageable enough that it doesn't create a lot of behavioral disturbances. And when it does, remind yourself...it's the yeast..it'll calm down in a day or two. This is when we give more gse, probiotics and give epsom salt baths..which really calm him down. -- In , Largey <l.largey@...> wrote: > > Thanks for the input I appreciate it. That makes sense with the iron.He is on no-phenol so maybe the yeast is going to show its ugly head. We tested stool analysis as having no yeast problem before we started. I wonder if yeast can become a problem this soon. He is just doing biotin and probiotics. I do have garlic and GSE on hand in case. NOT looking forward to this. I know I need to chelate him but I feel like kind of bad knowing its going to give him gut problems when he didn't have then before : ( We use a low dose of melatonin before bed and it has worked great.. but I have not had to give it to him at nap time before and now I guess I will...I can tell he is tired but just so fidgety and cant seem to settle his muscles down. I spent 15 minutes today giving him a massage to get him to sleep...lol.. thanks for sharing your own experience it makes me feel alot better. > > > > [ ] Re: repost ( 4th round pink cheeks/nose) > > Just wanted to give you some input on iron supplementation and metal > toxicity. Guest guest
-hmmm I wonder. I haven't changed any supplements or food in quite a while.. well 4 weeks anyways... Would sulpher from chelation agents cause indigestion? -- In , " " <Ladyshrink111@...> wrote: > > Another thought, I just read that indigestion can cause dilation of the cheeks and nose, wonder if that is at play here. > > > > [ ] Re: repost ( 4th round pink cheeks/nose) > > Just wanted to give you some input on iron supplementation and metal > toxicity. Guest guest
> > Thank u : ) How much GSE would you suggest I start him on he is 25 lbs. I have no idea on this one. Also I read giving no-fenol righ before can be helpful? The easiest thing would be to get the drops and start with 1 drop. The tablets I have are roughly equal to 12 drops each, but they are fairly easy to cut with a pill cutter, or crush. I've used either candidase or no-fenol about 1/2-1 hour before giving GSE (for myself, not for a child) and this increases the die-off feelings but also helps more than GSE alone. --
Guest guest
> > oh darn I only have Kirkmans GSE in capsules 125 mg. Where do they sell the drops I checked the local health food store didnt have it : ( sorry so many questions http://www.luckyvitamin.com/728177010010.html You can find other vendors: http://www.google.com/prdhp?hl=en & tab=wf Of course, you can also divide the capsules - more of a pain than cutting tablets, though. --
