Not in my experience. Chelation [i used ALA] was only maybe 10% of what my son needed, altho he did not tolerate the required supplements until about round 50, so chelation was required, but did not by itself address speech. Consider piracetam (and, perhaps, an acetylcholine precursor such as phosphatidylcholine or DMAE) as a means of encouraging verbal development. It is essentially non-toxic, has significant potential, and is virtually devoid of side-effects when the dosage is tailored to the individual. S.
