Guest guest
Hi Sorry youre having such a bad time right now. I`m not sure I understand why you would wake yourself up at 3a.m to take the LDN? You can just take it before you go to sleep at whatever time that is! Lots of people seem to need to start at a low dose and work their way up. Try a small dose (1.5mg) at bedtime and see how it goes and then stick at that until your body gets used to it before going up slowly until you reach 3 or 4.5mg. Good luck! Guest guest
thanks for the suggestions. i forgot to mention that between taking 4.5 mg at nite and switching to 3 am - i took 1 mg at bedtime for a week and still had horrible sleep. tried melatonin and did not help. told my doc and he told me to take it at 9 am and said it would still work. also, according to some on here and to elaine moore daytime is just as effective. b/c many on this list says it has to be taken btwn 9 am and 3 am to be effective, i started taking it at 3 am b/c it didn't bother my sleep near as much. but the 3 am wakings were becoming problemtic even for my hubby who usually sleeps like a baby! so i've tried just about every time. sigh -- maybe ldn is jus not going to work for me? my ldn is compunded with lactose in 1 mg capsules. thanks monique
Guest guest
this is what i would do-- maybe you need to find another pharmacy and see what their ldn is all about. this is what i would do if I were you1. get it from another source in 1.5 mgs2. get melatonin SUBLINGUAL not any other form I really like the source naturals melatonin i tried a bunch of brands before i settled on that -if the reason is not clear why it should sl just please ask3. get some ginger ale its works great if your nauseous that first weeki'm not making an comments on any ones else ldn but get it with advicil -just a few weeks worth of 1.5 and start thereand give it a few weeks and see what happensand take it when you GO TO BED just like skip said part of sleeping is developing whats called sleep hygiene -theres no way around this. and believe me i am so sympathetic because not sleeping was a huge issue for me.and i have one more suggestion but i need to know how old you are- because there may be a little hormonal component to the whole thingbut honestly if I had my way (If i was queen of the universe and you all had to follow my edict hahahahha only kidding) everyone that took ldn would do thisPrior to:1. put gut in order with two weeks of aloe juice and then a week or two of probiotics2. buy only 1.5 mgs the first time and titrate up i think people would get better resultscyndi CCyndi Lenzclenz@...http://www.tdgr2productions.comhttp://www.goldenrescuesouthflorida.com"Is colainn gan cheann duine gan anam cara"The highest calling is to be a soul friend St Brigid On Jul 17, 2008, at 2:17 PM, Sauve wrote:thanks for the suggestions. i forgot to mention that between taking 4.5 mg at nite and switching to 3 am - i took 1 mg at bedtime for a week and still had horrible sleep. tried melatonin and did not help. told my doc and he told me to take it at 9 am and said it would still work. also, according to some on here and to elaine moore daytime is just as effective. b/c many on this list says it has to be taken btwn 9 am and 3 am to be effective, i started taking it at 3 am b/c it didn't bother my sleep near as much. but the 3 am wakings were becoming problemtic even for my hubby who usually sleeps like a baby! so i've tried just about every time. sigh -- maybe ldn is jus not going to work for me? my ldn is compunded with lactose in 1 mg capsules.thanksmonique
Guest guest
hi cindi i'm 39. it's the sublingual melatonin i was using. i've been taking probiotics for a year now and take aloe vera and follow the GAPS diet for healing the gut. why is the ldn causing such horrible nausea and dizziness? does it mess with my hormones? i thought it was best to avoid advicil as a filler? i thought lactose or acidophilus were the preferred fillers? thanks monique > > this is what i would do-- maybe you need to find another pharmacy and > see what their ldn is all about. > this is what i would do if I were you > 1. get it from another source in 1.5 mgs > 2. get melatonin SUBLINGUAL not any other form I really like the > source naturals melatonin i tried a bunch of brands before i settled > on that -if the reason is not clear why it should sl just please ask > 3. get some ginger ale its works great if your nauseous that first week > > i'm not making an comments on any ones else ldn but get it with > advicil -just a few weeks worth of 1.5 and start there > > and give it a few weeks and see what happens > > and take it when you GO TO BED just like skip said > > part of sleeping is developing whats called sleep hygiene -theres no > way around this. and believe me i am so sympathetic because not > sleeping was a huge issue for me. > > and i have one more suggestion but i need to know how old you are- > because there may be a little hormonal component to the whole thing > > but honestly if I had my way (If i was queen of the universe and you > all had to follow my edict hahahahha only kidding) everyone that took > ldn would do this > Prior to: > 1. put gut in order with two weeks of aloe juice and then a week or > two of probiotics > 2. buy only 1.5 mgs the first time and titrate up > > i think people would get better results > > cyndi > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
advicil is a fine filler - we have thousands of people that use it and do great. but thats why i'm saying order a little amount from another pharmacy and see if that is the issue. if you were a bit older you'd have other issues like menopause i dont want to contradict brenda-she had really bad luck with advicil. i would try it from another pharmacy and take it when you go to bed. do the ginger ale CCyndi Lenzclenz@...http://www.tdgr2productions.comhttp://www.goldenrescuesouthflorida.com"Is colainn gan cheann duine gan anam cara"The highest calling is to be a soul friend St Brigid On Jul 17, 2008, at 8:25 PM, moniquesauve wrote:hi cindii'm 39. it's the sublingual melatonin i was using.i've been taking probiotics for a year now and take aloe vera andfollow the GAPS diet for healing the gut.why is the ldn causing such horrible nausea and dizziness? does itmess with my hormones?i thought it was best to avoid advicil as a filler? i thought lactoseor acidophilus were the preferred fillers?thanksmonique>> this is what i would do-- maybe you need to find another pharmacy and > see what their ldn is all about.> this is what i would do if I were you> 1. get it from another source in 1.5 mgs> 2. get melatonin SUBLINGUAL not any other form I really like the > source naturals melatonin i tried a bunch of brands before i settled > on that -if the reason is not clear why it should sl just please ask> 3. get some ginger ale its works great if your nauseous that first week> > i'm not making an comments on any ones else ldn but get it with > advicil -just a few weeks worth of 1.5 and start there> > and give it a few weeks and see what happens> > and take it when you GO TO BED just like skip said> > part of sleeping is developing whats called sleep hygiene -theres no > way around this. and believe me i am so sympathetic because not > sleeping was a huge issue for me.> > and i have one more suggestion but i need to know how old you are- > because there may be a little hormonal component to the whole thing> > but honestly if I had my way (If i was queen of the universe and you > all had to follow my edict hahahahha only kidding) everyone that took > ldn would do this> Prior to:> 1. put gut in order with two weeks of aloe juice and then a week or > two of probiotics> 2. buy only 1.5 mgs the first time and titrate up> > i think people would get better results> > cyndi> > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Why avoid Avicel? That's supposedly the filler that gives less allergic problems than lactose. moniquesauve wrote: > hi cindi > > i'm 39. it's the sublingual melatonin i was using. > i've been taking probiotics for a year now and take aloe vera and > follow the GAPS diet for healing the gut. > why is the ldn causing such horrible nausea and dizziness? does it > mess with my hormones? > i thought it was best to avoid advicil as a filler? i thought lactose > or acidophilus were the preferred fillers? > > thanks > monique
Guest guest
Excuse the ignorance - but what's the aloe juice for? Guest guest
this is my own personal theory- after i drank aloe juice for two weeks i never had heartburn again-it seem to heal up belly issues and since thats where our immune systems are it seems like a good idea CCyndi Lenzclenz@...http://www.tdgr2productions.comhttp://www.goldenrescuesouthflorida.com"Is colainn gan cheann duine gan anam cara"The highest calling is to be a soul friend St Brigid On Jul 17, 2008, at 9:47 PM, wrote:Excuse the ignorance - but what's the aloe juice for?
