Are you not getting this? I agree that B1 is important, very important, but is getting a bit tedious seeing 14,000 Thiamine posts. If there is not enough B1 to metabolze sugar, pyruvic acid is formed and then irritability, hyperacivity and lack of concentration are the result. A chronic overload of pyruvic acid damages the central nervous system. A symptom of Vitamin B1 deficiency is " CRAVING FOR SUGAR " - so a vicious circle is created.
