risks with the current tragedy in Asia

My mind

boggles at the scope of pain and destruction caused by the latest earthquake in

Asia. The pictures and

stories coming out of Asia are just heartbreaking, to say the least.

Today as I

was listening to all health

concerns with dead bodies, and lack

of sanitation, meds etc, it dawned on me that this earthquake may end up sending

ripples around the world . For some time now there has been concern about an

Asian bird flu that is infecting people with a very nasty flu that seems to

have a high kill rate. So far they have been containing it, but now I wonder

how things are going to go in the current climate there.
