Digestive enzymes (glutenzyme) with every meal, probiotics (Kirkmans

probio gold), and magnesium citrate help keep things moving and

softened. If you resorted to Miralax, then you probably need some

serious intervention like weekly colonics or home water enemas with

warm water to clear out the impacted stuff first.

We chelated while son was impacted, he seemed to not improve much. We

have done the supplements and a month of weekly colonics with an R.N.

till 75% of the old stuff was moved out (she can feel the impacted

areas). Our chiropractor did an xray that showed how impacted he was

.. I was determined not to go on the Miralax suggested by mainstream

MDs after seeing sons friend who had lost feeling in the rectum area

after Miralax use.

We chelated after the colonics and he is responding much better to

chelation (actually pooping the toxins) out rather than holding them

in the intestines where they may do more damage or slowly redistribute.

One of the best natrual cleanser I know of is simply Oatmeal and fruit;

Simply buy and cook up a daily bowl of hot oatmeal; add

apples; bananas; raisins; wheat germ; cococnut; for fiber.

Oatmeal itslef is high in Magneisum; Magneisum is a natural colon tonre.

If you top the hot bowl of oatmeal with pure jam and honey or butter;

and give this on a dialy basis for two weeks; impactions will clear.

At first; the stools may seem bulky; the is normal and cleansing. anne.-

My son has chronic constipation. I have giving him lots of items

including miralax. Can some one recommend something to relieve his

constipation?.

I placed him in the ASD diet two weeks ago but the constipation still

a problem. He also, has the colitis inflammation. He is 5 years old.

Soon, we will start a chelation program. I am afraid his

gastrointestinal problems will get worse.

Any advice is really appreciate it.

Thanks,

CP

There is an entire file on constipation that you may find helpful.

You need to go to the A-M home page and click on files. They are in

alphabetical order.

It depends on the cause of the constipation. Certain foods and supps

are constipating, yeast overgrowth is constipating, magnesium

deficiency is constipating. I have ideas here

http://www.danasview.net/constip.htm

Definitely work to get him off Miralax as soon as you can

Has your son been tested for Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth?

Specficially for Methane producing bacteria? Methane is known to

cause constipation, I should know as I have SIBO with methane

producing bacteria. It's been very difficult to treat and I'm

thinking that taking care of the mercury is going to help. I had 11

amalgams, just got the last 3 removed on Wednesday and started the

Cutler protocol on Sunday.

What do you mean by " the colitis inflamation " ? What tests have been

done and what was determined?

My advice would be to do everything you possibly can to get him off

Miralax. That stuff is toxic. There is a list dealing with

Miralax issue and ways to get off the stuff (been there, done that

with my son). You should check it out.

Also, get your son's thyroid tested, Free T3, Free T4, TSH, if

possible. Low thyroid has very significant implications for these

kids. My son's thyroid was pretty low. Getting Armour Thryoid

helped with constipation, growth, and probably a lot of other stuff

I can't see so readily.

In the short term, try magnesium citrate to tolerance, and lots of

vitamin C. Both of those help get things going. Also, carnitine

seemed to help with motility issues, which is a big part of my

kiddo's bowel issues.

psyhillium husks can add to his juice. This is very effective i've

tried it. Good old fashioned prunes work and they are cheap.

Carnitine helped with gut motility? I know it helps with sperm

motility, but that's totally unrelated from what I understand. How did

it help?

Thanks,

Well, I might be jumping to conclusions, but it did seem that with the

addition of carnitine, my son, who prior to the carnitine could barely

go on his own, and whose bowel was horrendously distended from years

of terrible constipation, was able to move it all out by himself.

I don't know anything about sperm motility.

I had chronic constipation for a long time. Tried all kinds of fibers and

bacteria and everything else I can't list it is so much. A bowel cleanse helped

me but not fully. It wasn't until I decided to chelate with EDTA did my bowels

take a turn for the better. I was feeling burning in my bowel every day and even

tried supplements and diets to reduce inflamation. However there wasn't

inflamation so to speak but the inability for my body to pass toxins. I

suspected lead was more of a problem than mercury but if I couldn't dump out

lead how was I to eliminate mercury. One thing I was doing also is looking into

building up my detox pathway. If that is broken down you might also have

problems with chelation. So I guess you can figure out that I thought if I

fixed my detox pathway that naturally my body would detox on its own. Nope, I

had to do the EDTA. Have IBS problems still but won't stop working on it.
