Guest guest
I saw one of the finished polls had this question in it. I also had this given to me to start contractions. Is there something in it that may be linked to autism. Very curious on this. Seems many Moms had this injection.
Guest guest
I was given ALOT of pitocin! I had my son within 3 hours of starting it. The monitor had fallen out and they didn't know. So it wasn't picking up on the contractions very good. They thought I was full of crap and couldn't handle the pain when I told them I was having alot of strong contractions. So they kept coming in and upping the pitocin every few minutes. I also had to have an IV for group B strep. It was started before the pitocin. Sometimes I wonder if I had him too soon before the IV could help with the group B strep and sometimes I blame all the pitocin they gave me too. I'll never know!! Guest guest
Wow I'm feeling lucky after reading your ordeal. Thats aweful!!! The only thing I have had a problem with is extreme fatigue. With my two older children I always got up in the night with them, no prob and actually could hear them even if they sniffled ( that super ear us Moms have : ) but this time I would sleep right through it and my sons's Father was like " why are you not hearing him crying at night? " I also can sleep 13 to 14 hrs straight and still not feel caught up ... I have always been a 6 to 7 hr sleeper. So that has been the only real change but to me it seems huge as I just always feel exhausted. I know some research was being done on the effects of children who's Mothers were put on pitocin and if there is a link with autism. It was also stating many of these children had to have forceps and/or vaccume births because the Mothers couldnt push. I will try to find the article..I wonder if there is mercury in the Pitocin shot? [ ] Re: Pitocin I was also given a lot of pitocin at 42 wks. before finally getting a c-section. I'm wondering what is in there that may affect the mothers too. I wound up having a lot of fatigue and my Zoloft didn't work anymore. I went to my doctor about the fatigue and she gave me a dTP booster. Within a month my joints started aching and I could no longer climb stairs without immense effort. I was told I had peri-menopause, I was started on estrogen HRT. I was switched to Wellbutrin and then had a grand mal seizure at work, just before getting into a car. Then told I had a full blown seizure disorder. Then I was put on serious meds that put me to sleep for a year with glimpses of my children who were growing without me there for them. And my husband coming home yelling at me for the messy house. He finally checked out of our relationship with my then trusted friend. It was pretty devastating. It's 5 years later and I've had 4 amalgams removed and am chelating along with my son who is ADD, vision problems, and has trouble verbally expressing himself. I'm on my way and haven't had a grand mal seizure since but this was a bump in the road nobody needs. I want to know what happened. > > > > I saw one of the finished polls had this question in it. Guest guest
Okay, I just remembered that I had got a set of " travel vaccinations " (at least 2-3) including German Measles before I discovered I was 2 mos. pregnant. So it probably was the shots not the pitocin. I just forgot the huge obvious factor (travel vaccinations). As I said I'm chelating, not there just yet. > > > > > > I saw one of the finished polls had this question in it. I also had > > > this given to me to start contractions. Guest guest
The thread about the concerns about Pitocin interest me, because it is the synthetic version of oxytocin, which some are giving their ASD kids, and I have considered. But knowing that Pitocin is basically the same thing gives me pause. Any thoughts?
