Guest guest
Kay, Hang in there sweetie....we all get tired, but chelation isn't the monster it 's made out to be. I'll send you the link where to get DMSA http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/HOW_TO_buy_DMSA.html#DMSA Just get your kiddo on the supplements needed for chelation (look in the files section for what supps to give) Chelation is only hard the first round, then it's easy. This is going to be a long process, so don't sweat the small stuff. You'll be an expert in a few weeks and it will be worth it! Take your bath.....mental health is important for us parents. You're a good mom for starting on this journey and there is a pay off! Kay <knorgren@...> wrote: I have not even started Chelation and I am already exhausted from working fulltime, having 3 kids, and researching all of this (it does not help that my husband works fulltime nights-I work days-it is almost like being a single parent because you work and then have 3 children by yourself because the other parent leaves for work when you get home) It is not like you just start chelation without all of this research. I think I just having a crabby night and I can not find DMSA at Kirkman (and I am trying to find it somewhere without a prescription. I feel like when I get the ball rolling on something I get roadblocks that come up!! I have not received my book yet by Cutler so I just have so many questions and I have to keep researching for the answers. It is never ending!! I just wish there were some files that were like here is step 1 for Chelation. Here is step 2..... ect, ect. It would sure make it easier for parents like me. I think I need calgon and a hot bath!! Guest guest
Right now I have too much hate, sorry, strong word but that is my feeling for a child who is so difficult I want to SCREAM! He won't swallow a pill, I've tried everything! Tonight I said lets try it in some apple sauce and see how that goes. He went off the wall, yelling, screaming! I've had it! There isn't enough hours in the day when in school to get all this crap down his throat and so difficult. I for one, HATE THIS! A child I love and would do anything for is so defiant, ungrateful and plain ugly! Re: [ ] Anyone else exhausted?? I know how you feel. Guest guest
I hear you on all fronts. As for the DMSA, you can get it at www.vrp.com. Guest guest
Yes, tired and burned out here too..wondering..WHEN WILL THIS NIGHTMARE END?? As I shuffle out the door to yet another appointment to find out what else I did to my son in utero from my fillings... Some days it's more than I can bare...others I deal... You get by because the child needs you too. My H does not work nights but you'd think he did since he comes home from work and heads right for his computer..which leaves me the evening duties of therapies and packing lunches and all that. So I consider myself a single parent. I go the appts, I go to the therapy, I do the therapy...I do the chelation..I do it all! It makes for a real nice resentful relationship. So by no means is this going to be easy...try to get his help on the weekends or with whatever you can. (If you can, mine prefers to pretend he's not intelligent enough to understand all this) Email me for Andy's chelation..I have a document that sums it up in 2pages. VRP for the dmsa. Kirkman does not list it because you have to call and order it with a script. Step 1: get child on probiotics Step 2: Get child on good multivit/min product Step 3: Make sure child is on the list of recommended supplements for chelation in the doses by weight. (email me..) Step 4: Get something to use to handle yeast. (either grapefruit seed extract or script..start treating yeast..slowly) Step 5: once on yeast control, you can begin first round (dosed by weight) Step 6: watch for yeast overgrowth while on round and increase anti-yeast supplement and probiotics if you see it. Make sure child stays on daily supplements all the time. I am going to email you my crash course documents I have made up... > > > > I have not even started Chelation and I am already exhausted from > > working fulltime, having 3 kids, and researching all of this (it > does > > not help that my husband works fulltime nights-I work days-it is > > almost like being a single parent because you work and then have 3 > > children by yourself because the other parent leaves for work when > > you get home) > > > > It is not like you just start chelation without all of this > > research. Guest guest
Hi Kay, I am about to start chelation too. I am just like you, overwhelmed. I have Andy's book already and read a few chapters. I am going to be using ALA alone, because we've done a few rounds thru a doctor already. Hang in there. I've received a few emails from members of this group already, so that was a big help for me. I think you can find some of ANDY's files on onibasu and just type this groups name. Good luck. --- anneecbrynn <anneecbrynn@...> wrote: > I hear you on all fronts. Guest guest
Hi Jada I was hoping you could also email me the 2 page doc of Andy's protocol. We are at the beginning stages of chelation and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of Andy's book. I would greatly appreciate it if you could forward the information. Thanks kindly Loretta
Guest guest
Hi Kay, You have my sympathy & admiration too! I am currently on leave from work so at home full-time and am exhausted most of the time. I cannot imagine doing this and working full-time as well. Hats off to you & others like you who have two full-time jobs. I started chelation recently when I was totally exhausted. I felt that my constant researching was turning into an unconscious way of stalling something that I thought was going to be harder than it actually is. I agree with others that the first round takes some getting used to but once you get it going, it will free up some time for....more research ;-) Chelation for many here (and hopefully for my child too) is an attack on a major root cause of their issues. I decided to put a halt to reading & got the basic supplements recommended in the supplements files & started chelating at almost minimum dosage. For me, another very important tool is a complete tracking spreadsheet in which I note all info about dosing, timing, rounds and any reactions or changes during a round & in between. Good luck getting the DMSA & go for it. You'll feel better once you get this going.
Guest guest
Our wonderful age of technology which is such a blessing in SO many regards, can also be a time-consuming curse and emotional drain. Google " autism " and there are literally millions of hits, no one can ever sort through all that. The fact that you're here on the site speaks volumes about your abilities! You are doing all you can at the moment - sometimes the universe does not line up like we'd like it too. It will seem so worth it when you start seeing improvements in your child. Everything seems hard in the beginning. Going GFCF caused ME weeks of frustration and tears, now, one year later, it's second nature. The thought of beginning DAN! how am I going to be 25 daily supplements into my son? But it happened, it does happen and it works. Now we're into the detox, but this weekend, which would be our 4th round, we can't do because he's sick. Just have to be flexible, but it's so hard sometimes! Hang in there, we all have these moments. > > Right now I have too much hate, sorry, strong word but that is my feeling > for a child who is so difficult I want to SCREAM! Guest guest
Oh yes, exhaustion is the name of this game. It does get easier once you know what you are doing, but you will still be exhausted and there is always something else to research and learn about. Get yourself prepared with adrenal support. You and your children will more than likely need it. On the brighter side, once you see your child(ren) getting better it will make it all worthwhile. Those of us who have been at this a while, we're very tired but we find the drive to keep going and you will too. Take care, Sheresa > > I have not even started Chelation and I am already exhausted from > working fulltime, having 3 kids, and researching all of this (it does > not help that my husband works fulltime nights-I work days-it is > almost like being a single parent because you work and then have 3 > children by yourself because the other parent leaves for work when > you get home) > > It is not like you just start chelation without all of this > research.
