Guest guest
We have posted 's hair results at http://f1.grp.fs.com/v1/gB6SR14N7mHnlqIZFdLU_wcQU529nwhjnWoyla2H_ ms0wGzCxEsXQDYYBXa-5Ah2nkp_UzB2MpWzuDk24ZMsbs3GOgsN- 6pyNII/HairTests/scan0001.jpg and have three questions to ask the group. Jen is 8 years old and 100lbs in weight. 1) Jen's sodium/magnesium ratio is 11/20 or 0.55 which is out of the reference range of 1 to 5. From Andy's book " when sodium is low compared to magnesium, the body can't make enough adrenalin leading to poor mood and energy " . Should we continue with adrenal cortex (2 caps)and B5/B complex therapy or consider an increase? 2) Jen's calcium is low. We are supplementing now. Should we increase to get her more calcium or look other where to drive up calcium? 3) We are giving Jen about 100mg a day of zinc divided into 4 doses however she is still showing nail/hand biting. Should we consider and increase in zinc? Jen still meets the criteria for Rule #3 so we are continuing treating using Andy's suggested chelation protocol. Thank you for your thoughts and time giving us feedback on these questions. Jim & Natasha

Should we continue with adrenal cortex (2 > caps)and B5/B complex therapy or consider an increase? I don't think adrenal cortex extract helps to make more adrenaline. It helps to make more cortisol. If the adrenal cortex extract and B vitamins help with symptoms such as anxiety and poor stress tolerance, then I would continue them. Give some vit C with them. > 2) Jen's calcium is low. We are supplementing now. Should we > increase to get her more calcium or look other where to drive up > calcium? The hair test doesn't suggest a great need for calcium, but if you want to give it, use it with magnesium, vitamin D, and boron for better absorption. A bigger factor could be stomach acid. The " all low " presentation of her test suggests she would benefit from improved stomach acid levels. Stomach acid is important for absorption of calcium and other minerals, not to mention protein, etc. One way to increase it is to give apple cider vinegar before meals. This may not work for everyone. Another way is to give betaine hcl with meals, starting with small amounts and increasing as tolerated. > 3) We are giving Jen about 100mg a day of zinc divided into 4 doses > however she is still showing nail/hand biting. Guest guest
Andy has said that when one meets a counting rule the calcium level is not reflective of the individual's actual level.
