Guest guest
I have not been able to find a composite that is BPA free that a dentist would use. I have heard that holistore and Biocalex are BPA free. I was told by my dentist that the company who makes Biocalex does not list the ingredients, and thus it may actually contain it. I really don't know. You can ask the dentist, but we were not able to get anything BPA free. Anyone else? > > Appologies is this has been discussed before - Below is a link to the > MSDS on what our dentist uses to fill teeth (not sealants). Guest guest
At my request my DS's dentist ordered holistore for a small cavity that he had. It did take a long time for her to find the product and get it delivered, but she was really good about accomodating us. Guest guest
Our daughter's dentist said that the composite she uses is BPA free. It's called Espe Filtek Supreme Plus by 3M. So far I haven't been able to verify if this is the case. Guest guest
Jackie, thank you SOOOO much, I had a feeling it was too good to be true. Since our dd has precocious puberty this is obviously of utmost importance to us. olivia > > > > > > Appologies is this has been discussed before - Below is a link to > > the > > > MSDS on what our dentist uses to fill teeth (not sealants). Guest guest
Olivia, If Jada's link below doesn't work, google " msds Espe Filtek Supreme Plus by 3M " . Click on the 5th one down and it's the first on the list. Guest guest
My dentist spoke with the guy who runs the lab that many holistic dentists use for " chemical sensitivity testing " (don't know what the proper term is). He said that even if a material is bpa free, when " cured " , there is a chemical reaction that can leach some bpa, but only for a brief period, which supposedly the body detoxifies. Well, with a kid with precocious puberty whose detoxification system is impaired, I'm really not sure what to do. My dentist uses something called " Grandio " , from Germany. He likes it, among other reasons, because it doesn't cause any sensitivity with his patients. I'm going to check out its composition, if possible, but based on what Walter from Clifford Consulting said, there's no avoiding bpa. I also asked my dentist about Diamond Lite, and he said a lot of patients developed sensitivities with it. olivia > > > > > > > > Appologies is this has been discussed before - Below is a link > to > > > the > > > > MSDS on what our dentist uses to fill teeth (not sealants). > Does > > > > anyone know of a safer composite filling without BPA? > > > > > > > > (http://multimedia.mmm.com/mws/mediawebserver? > > > > zzzzzzU0wEGFvdNdbg & ObHHdOjmzTE9 & HD9zvf4--) > > > > > > > > Thanks, > > > > Jackie > > > > > > > > > >

Don't go for Diamond lite unless you & yours like the taste of half baked burnt plastic in your mouth. Maybe you look into " low " in BPA or indirect fillings?. ie low 10-20% versus up to 80% ÊBisphenol A in some composites. My blood test show reactivity to all the usual nasties. Filtex Supreme tested fine. I do have a few fillings with it, placed a few years ago, no problems except a rash the day it was put in. Although, I was breast feeding at the time & my 1 year old grew breast tissue, may or may not be related. Look at all the plastic & toxins etc in our everyday environment! Guest guest
Following up on this thread, I am looking for information on the composite " Holistore " , as my young son needs a composite filling. Someone had provided the website of the manufacturer of Holistore as www.denmat.com. But when I go to their website, there is no product called Holistore. They have a product called Geristore but it contains fluoride. Ideally looking for a composite that is BPA, aluminum, and fluoride free. Any information is so appreciated!
