Coffee, in order for you to drink it, is roasted for quite a period of time at a rather high enzyme and nutritient destroying heat. When you buy it, it is dead. Nothing live about it. It is mucus forming in the body. It will make your body too acidic. We would all be much better off drinking coffee that hasn't been roasted yet. Hmmm...anyone ever try this? Actually, the caffeine in coffee is produced during the roasting process, if I am not mistaken here. I seem to recall something about that from my many travels through zillions of datums and miles of web pages. -- Peace, love and light, Don " Quai " Eitner " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Guest guest
Here are a few facts: First there is a homeopathic remedy Coffea Cruda (unroasted coffee) is a homeopathic remedy recommended for insomnia, migraine, trigeminal neuralgia, dysmenorrhea with pain spasms, nervous agitation and restlessness. Now a little historyInitially, coffee was brewed from green, unroasted beans to yield a tea-like beverage. By the late 13th century, Arabians roasted and ground coffee before brewing it. Ironically, coffee was usually brewed by Arabian men, and then drunk by Arabian women to alleviate menstrual discomforts. The modern coffee drink was invented at the end of 15th century, when roasting and crushing the coffee beans before extracting them with hot water grew in acceptance.Don Quai <mysticalherbalist@...> wrote: We would all be much better off drinking coffee that hasn't been roasted yet. Meat is also very much in this group. Mainly because of the chemicals in it, cooking it, etc. And yes, it is very slow to digest, so much so that it actually putrefies in the bowels before being eliminated. -- Peace, love and light, Don " Quai " Eitner " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Guest guest
As a remedy for insomnia, it's only works if the symptoms are "can't turn off the brain; keep thinking and preventing sleep." There are other remedies for insomnia also, which address other symptoms, such as arnica for if the bed feels too hard and arsenicum for awaking at 3-4am and being unable to fall asleep. Homeopathic remedies are to be used to address certain symptoms, not diseases or illnesses. Sharyn From: oldglory@...
