Guest guest
I'm supposed to do the 24 hr urine heavy metals test on my 3 yr old who is not potty trained and VERY willful, strong, controlling. I'm quite literally at a loss as to how to do this. The kit came with the urine collection bags, but I'm having visions of him tantruming for a full 24 hours, trying to rip his diaper off and flinging pee-filled bags around the house. Anyone have any suggestions on this process??? He will not pee in any kind of container or the potty. Thanks in advance. Stacie

Guest guest
I thought they had a baggy type thing that could be put over his private and inside his diaper, so that when he did pee, it would go right into the bag. Check the older posts or contact the lab > > I'm supposed to do the 24 hr urine heavy metals test on my 3 yr old who > is not potty trained and VERY willful, strong, controlling. Guest guest
Thanks for the great suggestion! I'll keep that in mind as I'm sure the porphyrin test is in our future. This test needs to measure urine volume, so I don't think that method will work. But thanks for the feedback! Guest guest
Have you tried using the bags? They are actually not that bad.. your son may feel differently but I find it the easiest way to get urine uncontaminated.
