Sounds like you have an interesting life and all boys. Oy! I am glad that you and DH are raising them in a traditional manner. Excellent. You are probably better off not doing a 3 day juice cleanse, however, you can do 1 day juice cleanses couple of times a week with no problems to either you or your son. You can also go all raw and it will not affect your son either. Matter of fact, he will benefit greatly from you eating all raw as it will improve your milk. The chocolate is a tough one to kick. Now if you are eating raw cacao nibs or beans then I would say don't worry about it. However, I suspect you are eating the same type of processed " chocolate " that most of us seem to be addicted to. Actually, it isn't the chocolate so much as it is the sugar or the corn syrup that they use in it to sweeten it. That is where the addiction comes in. At least, from my perspective. Others may share a differing point of view on this. Course, I have never tried raw cacao beans so can't really comment on this but I do know that there are others on this list who have. Cracked heels. Yikes that hurts. My feet do the same in the summer time but I am usually bare foot. I only wear shoes if I go hiking or have to go some place societal like. Okay, either let him run around bare footed all the time or get him some natural type shoes, like mocassins or leather sandals. Use nothing synthetic for shoes because the materials don't breathe properly. Leather, as in mocassins, is about as good as you can get for natural style shoes. This will also allow him the freedom of not having his feet crammed into a regular shoe. You might also try shea butter, mango butter, coconut oil, etc. All natural and unrefiined of course. A calendula and comfrey infusion or poultice (used overnight) will help it to heal really quickly and keep the cracks from becoming infected. I am glad you enjoy the list and hope you get a lot out of it. There is lots of info in the files and lots of raw recipes floating around. Lots of good info in the message archives too. Just bruise the leaves first or better yet chop em up. If you have any myrrh you can powder it up and mix it with the comfrey and that will help disinfect and remove any pain. Comfrey is such a wonderful plant. I see Suzi has already filled you in on that. Just curious though, how come you have it growing in a pot?
