Guest guest
Just to add my two bits, which unfortunately is in a negative vein, I also had a few badexperiences with the Breakspear about a year ago in terms of faulty advice on preparing and sending labwork. It left me with no confidence that stool samples etc were going to be handled correctly by them, and the idea of getting back results that might be wrong drove me crazy. I'd really rather not do labwork through them again, although the staff may have changed. Dr Heard, though, I've known for years and think very highly of. If we have to use them again, I'd keep a very close eye on them. HTH. Abbie Re: Fwd: Dr Downing & TD-DMPS Hello List members,Correct me if I am wrong please. Is Dr Downing the one who keeps a surgery at Biolab and Yorkshire, a DAN doctor?I would like to get more information whether or not he is willing to implement Dr Buttar's chelation protocol.Breakspear Hospital is a bit difficult option for me.Two years ago, we decided to run an allergy treatment for my son over there.Yes, they are very professional carrying on the tests but I wasn't fully aware that the allergy treatment would take more than 2-3 years.Otherwise I wouldn't put my son under the stress. He had 30 shots of vaccines then we stopped, it caused him alot of trouble for a while. When I didn't order the vaccine kid second time, the Hospital even bothered to contact me whether or not we would like to carry on the treatment or why we are stopping ? So, I was angry, frustrated. If anyone knows more about dr Downing, please share ..At present, I am not rushing any chelation medication but trying to find very knowledgable doctor who can assist us..Kind regards,Nevin
Guest guest
To further butt in, I would second Mikail's hesitation to use Dr Munro, based on a disappointing experience I had with her. On the lab, that sounds positive. I'd had kits sent out to me by I don't remember who, first with an important part of the packaging to protect it en route to America missing - and was told firmly that it didn't exist - luckily I'd done an OAT before - and the second time was told to refridgerate stool samples, contrary to correct procedure. They also said something I no longer remember, which showed they weren't on top of the right protocol once the samples reached them. HOWEVER, all that may have changed, and I hope it has. Guest guest
Gosh, I'd heard that some of you had had some problems, but wouldn't have thought it related to testing and service. Generally we've had a good experience, albeit that we have mainly dealt with Dr Heard. But they organised the full shabang of testing, and gave me a full instruction as to what to do. I took the added precaution to turn up with my Sainsbury's cooler box of test samples at midday on a Wednesday - I'm not sure what they did when you last visited, but they currently ship all their DDI and other US tests on Wednesday afternoon. I'm not sure there were any issues about the quality of the samples once they turned up at the lab, but I don't believe so - the results were what you would expect from an ASD child. The staff were friendly and accommodating - when we took ' blood for the first time, as a precaution loads of people popped out of the woodwork to hold him if necessary (it wasn't necessary - it's amazing what a laptop and EMLA can do). The last time we tested his blood, I forgot my headphones for to wear - the Breakspear staff called around and found some for him - the test was a breeze, and he still does not associate the place with anything bad at all. Seriously, I'm not trying to sell this place, and we have been a little frustrated that Dr Heard is not always there to offer some quick advice (he's only there Wed-Fri). Equally, based upon a quick chat with Munro, I would prefer to stick with Dr Heard's advice, so I can understand some of the problems you've had on the allergy side your childrens' treatment. In relation to Dr Downing, my wife called his practice before we went to see Dr Heard. She was told that Dr Downing spends most of his time in Cyprus at his practice there, and only spends a few days per month over here - that was enough for us not to go to see him at the time. (Of course now we're signed up with Dr Buttar, who's never over here! - strange world) Mikael > Just to add my two bits, which unfortunately is in a negative vein, I also had a few badexperiences with the Breakspear about a year ago in terms of faulty advice on preparing and sending labwork. Guest guest
Why, do you want to get worse? What test do they do? Probably a challenge test, which is dangerous and not particularly useful. You can order a DDI hair elements test through DLS without a doc. We can help interpret it. How many mercury amalgam dental fillings do you have? You can't safely chelate (using any method/route until you have them removed according to proper protocol. Guest guest
The Breakspear recently rang me as my dd had been on the waiting list since last October. I was offered an appointment which I didn't want to take up at the moment and the secretary did say that they had now cleared their backlog and that it wouldn't take long if I changed my mind. I've also spoken with Dr Goyal and was very approachable and open minded. > > > > > > Has anyone used Breakspear? we are trying to get an appointment there.
