Guest guest
Hi all What is the proper dosing for pycnogenol? I read somewhere to use 1 mg per lb so I've been using 50 mg daily for my 43 lb kid. It has been such a great supplement for her I'm wondering if more would add extra benefit. Anybody give more than that for a kid this size? Thanks Sheresa

Guest guest
What does pycnogenol help with? Do you give with other supplements or food? Guest guest
It's helped with general calming, focus and attention. Staying focused on a non-favored task has always been one of her biggest issues and it has helped, but there is still room for improvement on that front. Thanks everyone for the input, sounds like I can safely work the dose up a little bit more. Sheresa > > > > Hi all > > > > What is the proper dosing for pycnogenol? Guest guest
I'm curious about this as well. I googled it and it's a powerful antioxidant. I'm wondering if I should trying it on my son. His oxidative stress is high and free rads are almost off the chart. I'm very concerned about him. Any advice? Re: [ ] Pycnogenol dosing What does pycnogenol help with? Guest guest
Hi, sorry to jump in on your thread, but my son got his test results back last week and he is off the charts with his oxidative stress. While researching this I found that mercury can cuse this and I was wondering if that was the case with your children? I just sent off my son's hair tests so it will be awhile before I know if he is metal toxic, but I can't seem to find any other reason for this condition other than mercury and certain diseases I know my son doesn't have. jjpotter66@... wrote: I'm curious about this as well. Guest guest
Yes, mercury does cause oxidative stress. That is why it is so important to be giving your child anti-oxidants (Vitamins E, A, and C are really important) to help them feel better while you chelate the mercury out. Pycnogenol is another good anti-oxidant and also helps some kids with attention issues. Sheresa > We have our son on 3 x 100 mg per day. Guest guest
We use Pure Encapsulation brand and on the bottle it says to give between meals so that is what we do. I have given it with a meal before, though, and still seen benefits so it may not matter. Sheresa > > > We have our son on 3 x 100 mg per day.
