I would ask how important the overnight urine is. Did you get some first thing

after he awoke and all through the previous day?

We were collecting a 24 hour urine on my son. He is 6 and still wears

a diaper at night - sometimes he is dry, but sometimes not.

Well we started the test at 8:30 yesterday morning, planning to end

this morning right after he wakes up and pees..

His diaper this morning was pretty wet.

Does this mean that I should get a new jug to start the test over and

wake him up during the night, or do you think our sample (missing the

overnight pee) is OK.

I really don't want to collect this again, but agree it is better than

false test results.

I did get the urine all the previous day and the first thing when he

woke up.

I called the doctor and he thought it would be fine.

I guess you do the best you can and go with it. If we repeat the test,

we might have the same problem again.
