We went to the neuro today for our son's 6 month checkup for his epilepsy. The neuro wants to start him on clomipramine for his OCD. Does anyone have any experience with this med? They tried to do an EKG before we start it but Colby wouldn't cooperate. Does anyone know if there's any supplements we need to stay away from while giving this to him? Also, will we have to stop chelation while he's taking it? We're only on round 3 of chelation and I hate to stop while we see if this med is gonna help or not. Thanks! Guest guest Posted January 8, 2008 Report Share Posted January 8, 2008 I've read some on PANDAS but still don't know alot about it. I've been reading through the archives alot. I've tried to do OLE with him before but it messed with his asthma. I tried it with just a few drops and he did alright but it didn't seem like it was doing anything for him. I tried it again a week ago and he started trying to talk some. My husband wants to stop all supplements and the chelation and give this med a chance. I've worked hard on preloading my son with the supplements and just now upping some of the mg's. I'm not gonna stop, we've seen improvements! I think he wants to take the easy and cheap way. If I can only do 4 or 5 drops at a time with the OLE, should I give it 2-3 times a day? Do I give the lysine with it 2-3 times a day too? Thanks.
