Sorry to hear about your rocky journey. I too have Menopausal PA &

Sjorgrens?????Yes the first thing Dr's jump on if you are over 40 is

Menopause. Funny thing is, I had a complete hysterectomy at 27, and they

still tried to say it was all due to menopause. I send you good wishes to

This is my first time at this site. I have chronic mercury poisoning

and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity thanks to 8 amalgam fillings. I will

be starting an oral DMSA treatment and would like to know a proper way

to chelate. I've heard 25mg DMSA every 4 hours - 5 days on and 7 days

off. ALA 25mg every 4 hours everyday. Please let me know if I am

doing it right.

Hi DT,

Welcome to the list. Have you had the amalgam fillings safely removed? You have

to do that before you can safely chelate. DMSA needs to be dosed day and night

for at least 3 days (and nights) on and at least as many off. You also need to

take breaks with the ALA and it needs to be dosed every 3 hours during the day,

every 4 at night. When using both, dose both on the ALA schedule so as not to

get confused. You may want to start DMSA and ALA separately at first to watch

for side effects.

Hi Rich and welcome,

Can you post your labs with the ranges and units a lot of Dr.'s say your ok if

your in the normal range this is not true. If your Estrogen test was not

Estradiol an Ultrasensitive test like this at Quest (code # 30289X) get this

done. If you are 3 x's to high I was then getting this down you will feel like

a new man.

Here is a link about high estradiol in older men getting this down with some

Arimidex if your 3 x's above the top of the range then you can start on 1/2 a

1mg. pill every other day .5mgs. If you start on this let me know I can help

you to not go down to low this is just as bad as to high.

You have found a new home here and we will try and help you the best we can.

First let me say doing shots every 3 weeks and big ones drive up your Estradiol

levels. The big shot drives up your levels very high for the first 10 to 15

days then your levels fall and by the time you do your next shot your very low

again. This we call a Roller Coaster Ride. Your Endo putting you on a gel is

it Androgel or a compounded gel.

If possable can you post your last labs with the ranges and units. I can't

stress this more you need to have your Estradiol levels tested and if your say

over 40 pg/ml you need to bring this down. Here is a good link on this.

Very high levels of estradiol will kill a man's sex life and hold back your

testosterone from working it's best.
