Hi Toni,

It does not hurt anyone to do a thorough parasite cleanse anyway. Do one

before and one after followed a month or two later by another one.

Change your diet to an all raw food diet, cutting out all animal

products, processed foods, cooked foods, get plenty of exercise, fresh

air and sunshine and you won't ever have to worry about parasites. :-)

Re: [] Chelation Therapy

The only thing I've tried is milk thistle and it did get my liver

enzymes back to normal within a month.

No, I haven't tried it. I'm allergic to so many

things, I would kind of be afraid to try it. But I was

wondering about it, because a friend of mine who used

to live in this " mold infested " building used to get

IV Chelation treatments quite often when she lived

here, and never seemed to have health problems from

the mold, and I was wondering if possibly she didn't

have any problems, because of the Chelation treatments

she took.

Do you know if it's possible to be allergic to the

treatments?

The chelation you're talking about doesn't have anything to do with mold. It's

for getting rid of metals. There are various forms of chelation and methods of

delivery. Some can be pretty grueling, asccording to people I know who have done

it. If what I hear from Lyme patients is true, you'd want to be very careful

with this. If you're already sick, it's like adding insult to injury. Some have

done it, however. But they tend to be " herx is good " thinkers.

And if you're talking mercury, it wouldn't do you a lot of good to try to get

rid of the mercury if you still have amalgam fillings in your teeth. I also read

an article or two concerning the idea that the mercury won't turn up in the hair

samples usually used - the stuff tends to sit in heart tissue. (BTW - I tried

milk thistle - no result whatsoever, except for the damage to my wallet.)

As always, check out anything you hear from me. I'm no physician, just an

interested patient. I'm always wary of any of these ideas applied to a person

who's already sick from biotoxins. A body already in a crisis state doesn't

deserve to be hammered unnecessarily. To me, a lot of these ideas come off like

saying " I broke my finger, so maybe I should get my nails done. " Manicures are

good things, and they do make me feel good. But they won't fix my finger - a

matter of priorities, I should think. I've had two docs now tell me that this

chelation idea wasn't something to be addressed while one is very sick with

other problems - and both were chelation-friendly practitioners.

Maybe Doc J. can address this one?

Get the book The Chelation Way and/or Everything You Need to Know About

Chelation Therapy by Morton . I saw it on Amazon for less than $2.00

or get it from the library. It explains what Chelation Therapy is, how

they came to use it as a therapy other than for heavy metal poisoning, how

it works, etc. This is not an endorsement for Chelation

Therapy. Although, I knew an MD who used it in his personal health

regimen. At the time, and I'm sure at present, it is not covered by any

insurance company and it's not cheap. It is also not a one shot

deal. Read the books and decide for yourself if it is for you.
