Guest guest
P.S. Failed to mention water/hydration is important, as are electrolytes. I like an electrolyte named Emergen-C which is a package of powder added to water, in various flavors. Jean ************ There are several things I would try. For starters, would take some cayenne, windmill my arms to draw the blood from my head, some aspirin and then a Q-tip dipped in DMSO swabbed on each temple in the hollow by my eyes. Works for me. First one I ever had was just after coming to Slovenia. I found that if I take 1 teaspoonful of wormwood and 1/4 teaspoonful of cayenne and steep them both in a pint of boiling water that I get pretty quick relief from it. I take usually 2 to 4 ounces every 2 - 4 hours until I obtain relief. Works really well for me. This actually came from The School of Natural Healing book but the Rx in there calls for Culver root which I cannot obtain here. So I left it out. Are your bowels still moving on a regular basis? You might also benefit from the recipe I just sent to . If you have begun your TBC then chances are you are going through a healing crisis. If you have impacted wisdom teeth then, yes, that can cause you to experience some hellacious headaches. Can also cause problems elsewhere in your body too. -- Peace, love and light, Don " Quai " Eitner " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. There could be other reasons besides but the wisdom teeth can be the main culprit. Removing them might just eliminate your migraines. If there are other causes then removing the wisdom teeth might at least lessen the migraines. Guest guest
No cloves as in spices.. Cloves have moderately strong germicidal properties. Clove oil is effective against fungal infections such as athlete's foot. Eugenol is the active ingredient in Cloves and remains on of the major pain relieving agents used by doctors today. For many years Clove oil was the standard toothache remedy. It has anesthetic properties of some effectiveness as well as disinfectant properties. It is known to increase circulation of the blood, and there by promote digestion and nutrition. It is helpful in nausea and vomiting. Many herbalists recommend steeping clove buds in boiling water to cure nausea and to rid the stomach and intestines of gas. Cloves found in the grocery stores have been found to have much less strength than those purchased from herbal stores. The properties will be the strongest in freshly ground buds which can be ground by a coffee grinder Bodily Influence: Analgesic: This herb relieves pain Anodyne: This herb reduces pain Anti-emetic: This herb lessens nausea and prevents or relieves vomiting Antiseptic: This herb combats and neutralizes pathogenic bacteria and prevents infection Aromatic: This herb contains volatile, essential oils that aid digestion and relieves gas. Astringent: This herb has a constricting or binding effect, for example: one that checks hemorrhages or secretions by coagulation of proteins on a soft surface Carminative: This herb relieves intestinal gas pain and distension; promotes peristalsis Disinfectant: This herb destroys the cause of infection Expectorant: This herb encourages the loosening of phlegm from the respiratory tract Rubefacient: This herb stimulates blood flow to the skin causing local reddening Stimulant: This herb increases internal heat, dispels internal chill and strengthens metabolism and circulation Stomachic: This herb strengthens stomach function Tonic: This herb restores, nourishes, and supports the entire body; it exerts a gently strengthening effect on the body Vermifuge: This herb expels or repels intestinal worms Does this help?Glad to hear you got a little relief.. good luck at dentistCandace Podratz <momofbrock@...> wrote: I'm guessing you guys don't mean cloves of garlic? Guest guest
Cloves as in " Cloves " , not garlic cloves. It's a spice kind of like Nutmeg or cinnnamon in taste. and they look kind of like a little piece of stem or bark Cloves and/or clove oil really work wonders for tooth and gum pain. If you dont have a HFS near by, even regular old gorcery store cloves will work if that is all you have. Grind a few up as fine as you can, and add just enough 100 proof to make a paste, put this on the affected area. If you have any Echinacea tincture i would add that to the clove instead of the 100 Proof as it will help even better. I have done this recetly as i have a tooth that needs looking after and just dont have the funds for a trip tot he dentist right now. Sylvia > I'm guessing you guys don't mean cloves of garlic? The brown stick and ball looking spice that is so wonderful to smell. Good for you too. It is good that your sinuses are draining now. I am sure the dentist will appreciate this fact. LOL Your sinuses draining will help with some of the pain anyway. Best wishes on your visit Candace and I will be sending good thoughts to your dentist so maybe he will get you in sooner. The only difference is the ones your mother gave you are powdered. Open up the caps and use em that way. Now using them on an open wound might not be the best idea. If you are going out shopping see if you can get find any myrrh tincture or powder. This will work very well for helping you get over the surgery. Myrrh is a natural antibiotic, pain killer and does wonders for mouth and gums. Might not taste the best but it sure does help. Sometimes you can find a goldenseal/myrrh tincture. You can use that too. Works really well. The codeine is not the best thing to take. However, depending on your level of pain tolerance you may need to use them. Of course, you might not have any pain anyway. When they removed my wisdom teeth I didn't have hardly any pain. There was some but it was tolerable. But then my wisdom teeth had already grown in. ou will usually have cotton stuffed into the holes left to soak up the blood until they close up a bit. Cloves do help with pain but only to an extent. The clove oil will be better than the dried cloves if you can get it. Otherwise, just follow Sylvias advice. Also, put your sweaters up high. Guest guest
Also... Sometimes dentists will use Clove oil to pack into the sockets they remove teeth from, Since cash is an issue, ask the dentist if he can spare a little (it never hurts to ask) Maybe he can soak a couple of cotton balls or some gauze and put them into a baggie for you to take with you???? And lastly, be careful about the painkillers, If you have the problem I have, I have a low tollerance for them and they make me queasy which can lead to vomitting which is worse than the pain that you started with LOL. Guest guest
Do you take Calcium in large amounts? I had some pretty severe twitching one time when I had been taking large doses of Calcium thinking it would help the muscle weakness and spasms I was already having. My hands started jumping off the table, it scared me to death. I then found out you cannot take large amount of calcium without magnesium and I had become magnesium deficient. Just a thought. -- [ ] SOS Hello Group, I don't often post but often read. I have a hard time putting things into words. First let me thank everyone out there; your posts sometimes get me through I am not sure how long I have had lyme, and may have been infected more than one time. Currently I am experiencing uncontrollable and sometime violent spasms in my mouth/tounge (constantly biting my tounge), head/neck, torso and.well pretty much all over. It is like convulsions over my entire body, but feel everything and it is painful. It is hard to put in words. This happened several times in 2003 and each time was a trip to the hospital and will probably be headed there today. It starts out as twitches in the hands and feet and progresses from there. Has anyone else had anything similar to this? Thanks, bb
Guest guest
I don't post much either and I didn't even read for a while. Got to be too much. One of my symptoms started a couple of months after my tick bite was all over jerking/twitching sometimes of my whole body, sometimes just my legs or arms. It was like giant convulsions but I hadn't thought of them that way. I'd sit in the different doc's waiting room etc and my legs would twitch about every 5-6 sec. This continued for about 4-5 months as I was evaluated and not properly diagnosed. After I got a diagnosis or Lyme and started treatment it took a few months before the jerking let up. Now I still get it sometimes - mostly triggered by sudden changes in light or sound. > Hello Group, > > > > I don't often post but often read. I have a hard time putting things into > words. Guest guest
Well in Downunder (Australia) We have had nothing but heat, floods and bushfires. Can't wait for winter - it gets cold but not too cold that it snows in any of our cities. Have to be living further up in the mountains for that. So I would love to swap some of your snow for some of this heat!
