Guest guest
My 3 year-old who weighs @ 31 lbs currently takes @ 40 mg/day. His multi contains about 10 mg and I add a 30 mg cap. These are split into 3 doses/day for us, one with each meal. We did work up to this however. I started giving zinc to deal with chewing behaviors when DS had just turned 2. I started with @ a multi that had about 8 mg/day and that stopped the chewing within a week. Then I did a hair test for him and found that he had really high copper so I started giving more zinc. A hair test about 9 months later showed normal copper and slightly low zinc so we've stayed at the same level. > > Does anyone know what the recommended daily dose of Zinc per day for a 3 > year old who is almost 40 pounds?? > > > > Thanks!! > > > >
