Two studies that demonstrate the half life of dmsa

I found two studies, that found dmsa to have a half life as Andy has

stated. I'm sure there are more but I am tired tonight.

1. Study involving half life of dmsa in monkey. 200 minutes after

administration no dmsa was detected in blood.

I know we are not monkeys..so here's a human study..on children!

2. We used urine drug measurements to obtain crude estimates of the

early DMSA half-life of elimination. The early half-lives ranged from

1.7 to 3.8 hr, with an overall mean of 2.6 hr. In the two groups that

received 350 mg/m2 and 700 mg/m2, the mean half-lives of 2.8 ± 1 hr

and 2.5 ± 0.6 hr, respectively, were not significantly different.

" Meaning the quantity of dmsa did not make much differece, the

chelator still had the same half life. "
