Guest guest
September, There is a helpful bulletin board for women with fibroids at: http://dcforum.whathelps.com/healthhelps/cgi-bin/forums/dcboard.pl? az=list & forum=Vitalzym_Board & archive= The approach used by this group is to ingest digestive enzymes to dissolve the fibroids, cysts, etc. Dr. uses digestive enzymes in her work. But I notice that the enzymes used by this group include the enzyme serrapeptase which I haven't noticed in the digestive enzymes sold by Self Health, etc. Also they are enteric coated to help with assimilation. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Guest guest
Hi, just a note abou uterine fibroids. There is a book by Dr. Lee named " What your doctor may not tell you about Menopause " that discusses uterine fibroids and hormones. He talks about the use of the pill also. Progesterone cream (not wild yam cream) is what he recommends for shrinking uterine fibroids. I recommend reading the whole book first before using yam cream at all. Yam creams can be detrimental as they may be made from ingredients that are similar to natural progesterone, but are not natural progesterone. The pill is made from synthetic ingredients also. Perhaps you might consult an alternative doctor that is familiar with the true progesterone cream use before making any moves. Good luck. Guest guest
I had several fibroids, and one was the size of an orange. I found this out in 1984 when I had gall bladder surgery, before I knew of an alternative. My doctor told me not to worry over them, that they would go away with age. I am 63 now and have never had a problem with them. > [Original Message] > From: Sylvia <h10feet@...> > <health > > Date: 1/20/2005 1:01:11 PM > Subject: Uterine Fibroids > > > > Gang.... > > My daughter just found out she has several large uterine fibroids > and the medicos have counseled her to consider surgery. > THANKFULLY...we have talked to her enough in the last year or so > that she called us to ask if there was an alternative way to address > this problem. >

My daughter just found out she has several large uterine fibroids and the medicos have counseled her to consider surgery. THANKFULLY...we have talked to her enough in the last year or so that she called us to ask if there was an alternative way to address this problem. We of course told her she has to clean her diet up starting today, but i was wondering if there is a female formula that would be most beneficial to get her started on? I'd like to get her started on tea or tincture (douche even???) as soon as possible so that by the time she goes back for a recheck in a couple of weeks perhaps we can see a slight change. Thanks in advance Sylvia ======================== Hi Syl, Castor oil packs will only do good along with all the rest you have already mentioned to her. Here is some info from Hoffmann on Uterine Fibroids: Uterine Fibroids © L. Hoffmann B.Sc. (Hons), M.N.I.M.H. Fibroid tumors are benign muscle tumors that cause enlargement and distortion of the uterus in pre-menopausal women. They may make menstruation painful and heavy, possibly leading to anaemia. This is the commonest reason for hysterectomy, but unless the fibroids are causing significant problems it is best to avoid such drastic steps. They rarely become malignant. As they are dependent on estrogen for their growth, they will shrink down at menopause. If surgery is necessary, consider the new laser based techniques rather than removal of the whole womb. Actions indicated for the processes behind this disease : Uterine tonics to help the general health and vitality of the uterus. Uterine Astringents will reduce blood loss. Alteratives often help in health problems associated with benign growths. I would love to know why! Anti-spasmodics will lessen the cramping, dysmenorrhoea like pains. Lymphatics support the drainage of fluid from the womb. Immune support may be appropriate. Please refer to that section System Support : Uterine tonics must provide the basis for any herbal medication, ensuring that the reproductive system can benefit from their unique toning. Specific Remedies : There are no traditional specifics as such. One possible prescription : Caulophyllum thalictroides 2 parts Vinca major 2 parts Vitex agnus-castis 1 part Cimicifuga racemosa 1 part Dioscorea villosa 1 part Galium aparine 1 part 2.5 ml of tincture 3 times a day This can be made stronger by the addition of more anti-spasmodic or astringent remedies. The following actions are being supplied : Uterine tonic (Caulophyllum thalictroides, Cimicifuga racemosa) Uterine Astringent (Vinca major) Alterative (Galium aparine, Cimicifuga racemosa, Caulophyllum thalictroides) Anti-spasmodic (Cimicifuga racemosa) Lymphatic (Galium aparine) Broader Context of Treatment : Attention to general health and well-being is vital. Focus on a whole range of issues to ensure that the woman can be as at ease with her body and life as possible. diet: a well balanced and nutritious diet that is rich in fresh green vegetables. body work: suggest approaches that will engendered an experience of bodily ease and relaxation. This may be aromatherapy massage, walks by the ocean, dancing, and so on. peace of mind: relaxation exercises, meditation or counseling may be appropriate. life-style: re-evaluation of work and home environments, relationships, personal goals, will often clarify areas of positive growth and transformation. I hope this helps you to help her. Guest guest
This is a link about natokinase and uterine fibroids. http://www.womhoo.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD From: dynateresa <tturner@...> Subject: Uterine Fibroids Coconut Oil Date: Friday, March 26, 2010, 2:37 PM Â I have been plagued with uterine fibroids for 10+ years. I had surgery for endometriosis in 2000 and menopaused last year. To this day they bother me. If I do stomach crunches or other core exercises, they become agitated. My symptoms are pain, enlarged uterus, and my sleep is effected. My diet is pretty healthy and I do take supplements. No meds. Any suggestions? Thanks. Guest guest
A woman on another list I'm on also had a very similar effect with an iodine douche starting her period within a day of doing it. She thought she was in menopause and hadn't had a period for months. I did a search on fibroids and iodine and came across a number of old online med. texts that recommened iodine douches for uterine fibroids. It must of been common practice in the early 1900s. I wish more was understood about the role of iodine and the endocrine system.
