Guest guest
Wayne, I got started on apple cider vinegar & honey some years ago by reading a booklet put out by the Bragg Foundation. The original Bragg, Sr. supposedly opened the 1st health food store in America, and knew a lot of what we are learning back then. Since Bragg brand is the best tasting, sweetest, apple cider vinegar I have found on the market, I figure they do know a little something extra on the subject, so I use their product & take their advice. Their booklet doesn't come out and say so outright, but they ALWAYS say vinegar & honey, never one alone. Maybe because the booklet is about vinegar. But, they do say that both the vinegar & the honey (in these forms) have beaucoups available phosphorous to bind up the acid wastes in our blood I get them excreted. So, since apple cider vinegar & honey has such a historical record of success that's the formula I use: 1 tsp each in 6-8 oz water, to taste. 3 glasses a day for healthy maintenance, 5 or more glasses a day for health problems. jim Wayne Fugitt wrote: > > I have a bottle of apple cider vinegar. > > Some suggest mixing honey, lemon juice, and even black strap molasses. > > Is there a proven formula for doing this? > > Possibly someone has a link that will answer many of the usual questions > when starting to incorporate this drink into the daily arsenal of > prevention tools. > > What about some powdered vitamin C? Guest guest
I have also read the booklet by Bragg, and he does say that if you have diabetes to just leave out the honey, so my conclusion is that you can get benefits from just the vinegar alone. I take the vinegar during the day at work on occassion. Having to put in honey would probably leave my desk sticky, so I have never taken it with honey. I also take Bragg vinegar. Guest guest
Cidar Vinegar also know as Apple-cidar vinegar is used in several natural healing remedies. Learn some ways to use cidar vinegar to promote the body's natural healing abilities. Cider vinegar is also known as apple-cider vinegar: it originated from a veterinarian by the name of D.C. Jarvis. He believed that it prevented illnesses in animals. He then suggested humans start drinking it with honey because it was thought to increase longevity. Cider vinegar is a great source of potassium, which the heart and the heart muscles need to function properly. Cider vinegar is also used as a toxin cleanser and helps reduce swelling and pain when used as a compress. Cider vinegar is known for its germicidal properties, this makes it good for fighting infections and inflammations. It also helps with stimulate the immune system by cleansing the blood and removing yeast in the intestine. Cider vinegar contains many different nutrients that make up its revitalizing components, minerals such as potassium, magnesium, and calcium and vitamins such as B6, C and E. All the components are extremely useful for the body and the body must have these essential vitamins and minerals to remain healthy. Cider vinegar is useful in many different ways: it is used as an energizing tonic, it used to reduce fevers, for itchy skin, to purify the skin, as a cough remedy and is often prescribe by herbalist for varicose veins, corns and calluses. The are many mixtures to aid in promoting a healthy body. To use cider vinegar as a fever reducer, take two cups water and two cups vinegar and place a pair of socks in this mixture wring socks out and place the socks on the fevered person. Do not let the socks get dry before soaking socks again, repeat this process until fever has resided. Cider vinegar can be used to treat sunburns and mild burns the same as a fever, but instead of using socks in the mixture place a cotton cloth in mixture and place on effected area. Remember, when purchasing cider vinegar, make sure it is organically grown, because organically grown is the only one that has the vitamins and minerals needed to produce the healing effects that it is known for.
