Guest guest
My son (3.5yo) has a elevated liver count. We are not chelating. It has been elevated for months. The first time we found out it was elevated so was his Vit A count. Then we repeated the test 6 months later and his vit A is now low and his liver is still high. We started him on milk thistle which he had priviously (a year prior) tolerated. Then he started with a horrible all over body itch (no rash). We stopped everything and concentrated on yeast issues. So we got that under control and we started liver support again. He is getting itchy again (this is day 3). Now I know that liver function and itchiness can go together. My question is: 1. Is this his liver detoxing and it is leaving through his skin? 2 Is this a side effect of the milk thistle? Private emails welcome. To make matters more confusing, I have read that there is itching with liver disease, ours did not have high liver enzymes, save for a couple points high at just one test. You might try another brand of milk thistle, some people are allergic to the fillers in the capsule. If it's an allergy to milk thistle, I'd suggest using phosphatidylcholine, also good for the liver, that is what we do. Now I know that liver function and itchiness can go together.
