Guest guest
SB 6300 will be heard Monday afternoon, January 28th, in Olympia. This bill prohibits the use of mercury containing flu vaccines in infants. The pediatricians are of course up in arms against it and lobbying heavily. If you live in Washington, please contact your state senator and ask them to cosponsor and support SB 6300. If you can attend the hearing in Olympia on the 28th, please do so. Please distribute this message widely and ensure anyone you know who lives in the state of Washington receives it. Senator Oemig (D-Kirkland) is acting responsibly when the medical establishment can't. He really needs your support if he is going to do any good. Please do what you can. Washingtonians can find their legislators at leg.wa.gov/DistrictFinder/Default.aspx Thanks for your help. Andy

Guest guest
Hey Andy, Isn't this guy fanatastic?!! Of course I'm going to be there, and I've put the word out to my list-serve in WA state. (about 350 families). When talking to Sen Oemig yesterday and he gave me a punch- list of studies he needed. I delivered most of it to his office yesterday afternoon, and he put a paige on making copies. He asked that even if parents don't want to testify, they please come and sign in - in support. Also, no clue who is showing up to oppose the bill. Likely our biggest opposition will be, as usual, DOH and Rep Eileen Cody. Isn't it curious how the epidemiological study that found no connection from autism to thimerosal used, among others, Group health kids in Seattle? (for those who are not familiar, Cody works for GH in Seattle) I was very disappointed that the governor's office refused to take my concerns seriously in 2006 when I asked that she enforce the law and not let the DOH decide to call for a phoney rider with their discretion of a phoney emegency. I hope to see you there- will look for you! --Tami > > SB 6300 will be heard Monday afternoon, January 28th, in Olympia. > > This bill prohibits the use of mercury containing flu vaccines in infants. > > The pediatricians are of course up in arms against it and lobbying heavily. > > If you live in Washington, please contact your state senator and ask them to cosponsor > and support SB 6300. > > If you can attend the hearing in Olympia on the 28th, please do so. > > Please distribute this message widely and ensure anyone you know who lives in the state > of Washington receives it. > > Senator Oemig (D-Kirkland) is acting responsibly when the medical establishment > can't. Guest guest
I'm in WA and just emailed my state senator asking to support the bill. I live close enough to be able to go on Monday. Is anyone else from here showing up? I also want to email a local support group. Is there something from Senator Oemig on the web I could link them to? THanks, Jutta
