Guest guest
Hello, I am convinced that I need to chelate my 6yo son. His hair test (#155) is horrible, lots of therapies have had marginal improvement. His history confirms that he is mercury toxic. I am just really scared to start for fear of making him worse. He is really high functioning, most people don't even notice any differences; however, I know as he gets older, the developmental gap will seem larger. Of course, I know " mainstream " doctors are very against chelation, but they have not done ANYTHING useful for us at all. Also, I think reading about some of the group member side effects scare me a little - I just hate to put him through that. Does everyone experience negative side effects? Does anyone wish they had not chelated? I guess hearing some positive outcomes would really help me not view this process as scary/risky. Thanks for your patience with a mom who really is trying to do her best... Janet
Guest guest
Hi Janet, If you need any more incentive to begin chelation, look up the health effects of leaving mercury in the body long-term...scary stuff. If you do the Andy Cutler protocol you really eliminate any risk of harming your child. It is proven safe and effective and many here on this board can walk you thru it. You said your son is high functioning. Just imagine the talents and capabilities the mercury is hiding! I wish you the best... Guest guest
Janet, hi, I can understand that you might be a bit jittery in the beginning. The great thing about the Cutler protocol (if you decide to go with it) is that the dosing is low and frequent....We have been doing biomed with our daughter for almost three years now. We know that she was exposed not only to mercury preserved vaccines, but lead in our home. Since I home school, I am even more in touch with the difficulties that she faces in her learning. And I am that much more eager to continue to chelate, and to get the junk out, and soon. We have never experienced bad side effects. The only thing my husband and I have noticed is some fatigue after a round of chelation. Even before we started chelation, we did a lot of nutritional intervention and tried the GFCF diet (for over a year), as well as some " gut intervention " . Several months after we started biomed, our daughter tested out of occupational therapy. She was pretty language delayed at age 4 (tested at the level of a 2 year old) and we have only seen wonderful advances in her language, imaginative play, coordination...you name it. In sum, we have only seen improvements. I am eager to see more, that is true, but as they say, this is a marathon, not a sprint. The earlier you start though, perhaps (some may disagree), the sooner you'll be " finished " . So go for it! Educate yourself first so that you feel comfortable with what you are doing. As for traditional doctors, most don't even understand the importance of nutrition, so the environmental component of disease is even that much more removed for them. I wouldn't worry about their opinion, after all, YOU'RE THE MOM!!! I'll never entrust our family's health again to conventional medicine!!!! Take care, Olivia > > Hello, > I am convinced that I need to chelate my 6yo son. > His hair test (#155) is horrible, lots of therapies have had > marginal improvement. For my kids, the only negative I experienced was yeast overgrowth, which I kept under control with biotin and GSE. I chelated them with ALA. I am also chelating myself, and I have had to deal with yeast overgrowth and mineral deficiency. Dana
Guest guest
Thanks for all your stories and encouragement. I know you are right. I just have to do it. Olivia, thanks for sharing your improvements. We also have been doing diets, supplements for the last 18months, so I do think it was good to get this base before we started. I also know the sooner, the better. I have 3.5 year old who is also toxic. I want to start with the 6yo and get a few rounds under belt before we start with the 3yo. Alison, I totally relate to the peeing the bed. I can't even tell you how happy I will be when that goes away, but you already know. We have about 60 diapers in his closet. Maybe we won't be buying many more! I know all these things in my head - I just need to take the leap. I have read alot and feel that it is safe; however, these are my babies!! You all understand....I'm planning to start in May. Janet
Guest guest
Important things to know: 1. You can't safely chelate if he has ANY mercury amalgam dental fillings until they've been safely removed using proper protocol 2. Andy's protocol is the safest, IMO 3. Chelation increases yeast, so have a good yeast protocol in place. Guest guest
Hello Bee, My name is . I have never been on anything online. I am crying as I write. Fibromyalgia, IBS, Low B12, Low VD(better now), fatigue, depression, anxiety, yeast in mouth, etc. take nystatin periodically plus lota of meds. Lately worse. Working but struggling a lot. Just scared. I am going to do it but afraid die off will cause me to be unable to work but do have lots of support if that happens. Plan to go to health food store today to get supplement but the more I read the more confused I get. > > +++Hi there. Welcome to our group. It is also an overall healing program which improves anyone's health, even if they don't have candida. > > You will have some control over your die-off symptoms, if you take your time and slowly change over to this diet. When you do, you need to stop taking Nystatin, since I recommend a much better antifungal, which provides many other health benefits too - that IS unrefined coconut oil. But you need to start with small amounts like 1 teaspoon 3 times a day with meals (some people need to start on less) and only gradually increase it so your die-off symptoms aren't severe. > > It is important to read 2 articles first: > 1) How to Successfully Overcome Candida > http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php > > 2) Curing Candida, How to Get Started > http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php > > It is good to write down you own plan for making the transition over to this diet according to suggestions in the 2nd article above. > > Take your time my friend.
