Guest guest
I know this lady whom had eye blinking problem and saw many doctors. Many of the doctors prescribed medications that did not work. Finally, she went to a natural doctor whom asked her to write down everything she was eating and drinking. Turned out it was from her drinking a lot of diet Coke or diet Pepsi (I forgot which one) She stopped drinking the pop and it was gone. It was caused by the aspartame in the pop( this is also found in other things) Hope this helps!! Kay
Guest guest
For my son that means yeast - we have him take GSE when he starts blinking a lot. Guest guest
For my son, this was a viral issue. It stopped when I started him on Lauricidin. Debbie **************It's Tax Time! Guest guest
For my son, blinking can be caused by pollen allergy. -Ann > > Has anyone had a similar experience with excessive eye blinking with a > child on the spectrum?
Guest guest
Quite often, blinking around here seems related to calcium/lead issues, similar to the eye poking. For a couple of the short/big kids, upping calcium type foods/supps eliminates this. Chuckling, we try wiping eyes with coffee first, if that doesn't work (within the day), then we move onto the calcium connections wishing you the best answers elizabeth > > Has anyone had a similar experience with excessive eye blinking with a > child on the spectrum? Guest guest
Sorry - GSE = Grapefruit Seed Extract - you can get it in pill or liquid form. My son takes liquid form, 10 drops to 6 oz of water and gargles then swallows (since often his yeast is worse in the throat, but eyes are an early warning symptom). It starts with blinking, but then can progress. Before we discovered it was yeast, he would think something was in his eyes and they were all over the place when it was bad - rolling, blinking, squeezing, rubbing, etc. But, now we just notice when he starts to blink excessively and get it before any of that happens. I did recently add biotin to his supplements as Dana has said that was helpful at her house for yeast. We've noticed less frequent flare ups this way - maybe only once a month. Trying to get his yeast under control and protocol in place before starting chelation in May. I also suspected the yeast was related to viral issues and started Vit A and Vit C and will be adding Lysine soon. BTW - my son is now 18. We didn't discover these connections until discovering this board when he was almost 17. Guest guest
> My son has been blinking a lot today and kept brushing his hand down his eyes. The blinks are rapid blinks (as opposed to pressing eyes close strongly). This meant yeast at my house. > He is on day 19 of his Diflucan (50mg per day) course. The only suppls he is on are Vitamin C (250mg per day), Vit B6 (50mg per day), zinc (15mg per day), magnesium citrate 100-150mg per day), super pro-bio gold probiotic (2 capsules). Maybe yeast is dying off and coming out of his body thru his eyes. My #4 had this issue with yeast die off. Dana
