Thank you,

Kathy,

What you need to do, is contact your county and ask them to put

you in touch with a " Disabilities Social Worker " ...once someone

calls you back, you will tell them that you have a child with " such

and such medical diagnosis " and she/he will iniate the conversation.

You should tell them that you are specifically interested in pursuing

a " family support grant " or " waiver " to help defray the costs of installing

a fence for your child's safety.....they can let you know how to proceed from

there.

We are currently in the middle of going through this process myself. We just

got a letter back now from the county saying that ALL monies for support

grants

are distributed for 2008, but will put her on the list for Jan. 2009. I am

having " issues " with this...but don't have energy to fight it currently!!

LOL...too many other fish to fry at the moment!

But, that's how you begin that journey anyhow.

Hope it gets you what you need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
