Hi all,

A while back I posted that Chicago Shriner's Hospital originally said they would

do my uninsured infant niece's cleft lip surgery (knowing she's unvaccinated),

then shortly before the surgery date said they wouldn't do the surgery unless

they vaccinated her.

My sister and brother-in-law stuck with their decision not to vaccinate her (her

older two brothers are unvaccinated as well) and so had to pay out of pocket for

the surgery at a different hospital. I'm about to finish a sixth (children's)

quilt which I'm selling to help pay the medical bills. I sold the first five.

If anyone's interested, let me know and I'll e-mail a photo of the quilt and

before and after pix of my niece. She had the surgery in Feb. but there are

still bills to pay. It's a 36x36 " all cotton flannel quilt with white fabric

with little lavender hearts, fabric with palm trees, purple elephants, birds,

and blue monkeys surrounding by palm trees, and solid lavender fabric for the

backing. It's machine-quilted, hand-bound, with hand-quilted hearts.

I have fabric for a more boyish flannel quilt (primary color trucks and fish

with mint green backing) but haven't started it yet.

Thanks in advance,

S S

HI

I just wanted to let you know that my sons modeling agency helps supports cleft

lip surgeries. If you go to http://modelclubinc.com/index.html and click on

announcements, scroll down..they have a myspce page with info on upper right. I

bet if you left a message and told of your situation, they would help you out.

While there you can check out my son under babies. Elijah. We will be taking him

out of modeling though as now he wont even smile for the camera anymore. Best of

luck I wish I could afford to help you myself : (
