Guest guest
Hi, My son is taking Digest Right Enzymes AND the new Trienza by Houston. He is GFCF and almost completely sugar free because of his terrible yeast overgrowth (Candidas). If he takes an enzyme directly before eating them will grape skins feed the yeast? If not, which color grapes would be better, red or green? Are raisins, yeast feeders? Will you please send your responses directly to me at jagross1@... as well as posting to the list? Thanks. I so tired of denying my son regular foods like grapes and hope that using the enzymes will enable him to have 5 or 6 grapes once or twice a week. Guest guest
The answer to this is maybe, depending on the child. We never noticed yeast problems with any fruit or milk or wheat, only refined carbohydrates. So maybe try withholding the grapes and if you don't see a difference I would say what's the point in not giving good food that has a ton of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fiber. Guest guest
Not sure about grapes, but raisins have a ton of sugar - a box of raisins has more sugar than a lot of candy bars (about 30 g) - so we avoid them, as well most dried and sweet fruit when yeast is an issue. --------- [ ] Will GRAPES feed yeast?
