How is DMPS dosed? Is it by weight? (I have a severe 13 yo who is appx

80lbs). And then it is given every 8hrs, for how how many days on &

then off?

I was trying to find something in the files on this but didn't, but

could have easily missed it so pls direct me...

Also, this son had a rash from it yrs ago & dr took him off it

thinking it was allergic reaction. Could it have just been detox? How

many get rashes from DMPS, or other chelators? (Doing ALA right now

with no issues).

Thanks,

Michele

====>Yes, you can use 1/8 to 1/4 mg per lb to start.

===>Yes, every 8 hours for 3 days, at least.

====>This is hard to tell, some kids do get a rash when they detox, for others

the rash is an allergic reaction to the DMPS, sorry not more help. I do think

the rash was more with the td version of DMPS and not the oral.

====>A few mostly from the td version of DMPS and DMSA

(Doing ALA right now

with no issues).

Michele

May I add to these questions, what are parents doing when their children get

constipation following DMPS suppositories. We have been using them but getting

a lot of constipations and rashes on the buttocks.

Thanks,

Ken

Try this site: http://www.mystillpoint.com/resourcecenter/index.html

It has videos on by Dr. Woeller on constipation where he talks about

different things you can try to help it. There are many other

topics too. You might find it helpful.
