Guest guest
Since I get the digest, some of the email addresses are truncated, and I'm not sure who's asking, so here's the article, with my comments first. It is actually helping, and quickly. I'm using the baking soda; and she has an extremely alkaline diet, being a raw vegan. She also has heavy metals from a pesticide exposure. Ted is, I think, a chemist. Note in there that peppermint oil and fluoride can both cause hyperactivity. I like baking soda, of which he speaks, the sodium BIcarbonate for teeth brushing. Now, I'm not a chemical person, so I'd say to look at a more alkaline diet for your son, and using baking soda (great for tooth brushing). I think he's really into something -- Ted is -- about acid brain. All illnesses are acid conditions. So many foods that kids and adults eat are very acid forming, and if someone is already sensitive ... It really is the 'acid brain' idea that has me thinking. I know that when changed our diets radically years ago, becoming vegan, my daughter, who had been progressing tremendously with patterning _www.iahp.org_ (http://www.iahp.org/) became well. I have no idea about the chemical stuff for kids, and I can say from my own children, and those I've taken care of, that they are different people, much brighter and more interesting on a diet of fruits and vegetables (alkaline). really interesting and thought-provoking sure puts a new take on hyperactivity I'm still leery about the sodium carbonate, never having used it. We brush our teeth with baking soda, as do so many people, so are using that. I'm real cautious about everything, and always experiment on myself first, and then do a very little at a time. I have no idea what the medical profession would say? (that's a disclaimer, not a sign on interest!) In a message dated 6/16/2008 8:56:44 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time, parhat@... writes: Yes you can share the ideas here. When the brain is acid, the capillaries are constricted restricting blood flows. The hyperactive child, it was found whenever they try to concentrate, the metabolism goes down. This means that there is constriction or lack of blood flow. To keep the blood flow up and concentrate, the child ends up walking around in order to think, much like the restless executives who can't sit down and plan and write plans. It's why salesman don't like to write reports, but at a lesser extreme in a hyperactive child. I have had a lot of success just alkalizing the brain, while baking soda takes a lot longer, the carbonates form I have found to be most effective in seeing almost instant change in the child's behavior. The remedy, simplest I can say is the carbonate form of sodium and potassium. And the amount is fairly small 1/16-1/8 teaspoon for child of around 30-50 pounds in weight, mixed in a glass of water, taken slowly over the course of an hour or so is also acceptable. Why is the brain acid? It's very simple. 80% of the oxygen and 30% of the calories goes to the brain. If the body is acid, the most likely places that is most acid is going to be the brain. It is the single most highest metabolism organ in the body, hence the single most acid organ I can think of. This is not even radical ideas. Ayurvedic medicine, identifies that nearly all of the disease are connected with one way or another the brain, and the single most common problem I have encountered is the acidity. The other things modern society have upon us that worsens hyperactivity is the heavy metals mercury in vaccinations, fluoride that are hidden in toothpaste and drinking water, including chlorination. These fluoride has a large effects on the brain and they too are acid forming, both chlorines and fluorine. Heavy metal mercury merely poisons the brain cells, that's why they are not added in vaccination of animals, but amazingly are added in human medicines. In veterinarian medicines mercury use are forbidden as it effects neural development, but are completely silent in human medicine. There's a problem of possible involvement in politics and business of medicine which distorts human medicine. Ted Ted, do you mind if I share the acid brain ideas with parents of kids with autism? Guest guest
Look into adrenals and copper. Try glycine, taurine, GABA and inositol Try forskolin - this can make a big difference. I'm not sure about cod liver oil; EPA-rich fish oils (eg Nordic Naturals ProEPA) were better for us We battled ADHD for years. it got gradually better as we reduced copper and went through dozens of rounds of chelation, but only resolved for good with neurofeedback treatment. About 15 neurofeedback sessions and it was gone for good. (Having said that, neurofeedback has failed to achieve any other benefits for our son, but getting rid of ADHD was huge) Steve > > > > Hello, > > > > Anyone has any ideas what to do about hyperactivity? > > My daughter 7 years old, is very hyperactive at the moment, likes to throw > > herself onto furniture, floor etc. Otherwise there is much improvement lately in > > her mood, eye contact and cognitive skills. Guest guest
Scullcap herb from pure herbs helps balance copper zinc ratio and helps with hyper activity On 3/31/11, do_wee@... <do_wee@...> wrote: > Hi! > Wht enzymes is she on? > Try to give her GABA. Try increasing the yeast protocol, see if that helps. Dana
