Guest guest
Hello, I have 5 year old with diagnosis of autism. I have just received some results and its showing high level of Vitamin B12 1476 pmol/L when indicated normal range is 155-800 pmol/L. Here are some vitamin supplements he is taking on regular basis: CO-Enzyme B Complex (contains B12) : Daily amount of Vitamin B12 taken: 62 mcg Methyl B12 : 2000mcg / week Can any one help, what does these high levels means? As a side note the report has a statement that " Higher level of b12 are suggestive of level liver disease or myeloproliferative disorder but may also occur after a treatment with B12 " Is high level normal or common if a child is on B12 supplements? Probably, I should stop B12 until I talk to a doctor but I would appreciate if any of you can share any information you have. Thanks in advance. Sara.
