I believe that there is no thimerosal in Hep A as far as I know, but plenty of

other scary ingredients. You can google it. My son received Hep A at age one.

He was very ill for 10 days, listless, crying, inconsolable. His regression

into autism started after this vaccine, was normally functioning and developing

prior to receiving this vaccine. I was horrified to see what was in it, after I

gave it to my poor baby. Be very wary of this shot. Irene

Our doctor at the time, back in 2005, told us that the CDC was now recommending

it for kids age 12 months and up. A lot of doctors I think give it between 15

and 18 months, and then I think there may be a booster for it later down the

line. Our doctor now does not understand why it would be mandatory especially

at such a young age, as it is not life threatening, and especially if you are

not traveling to parts of the world where Hep A is more prevalent. It is one of

the newer vaccines added to the schedule I believe. Of everything I allowed my

son to be vaccinated with, this is the one that tortures me the most, at least

if he had had a reaction to another vaccine that protected against life

threatening illness, I could console myself with this thought. Don't let

yourself be pushed into this shot.
