Hi TerriLynne,

The purpose of a fast is healing. The purpose of a cleanse is cleansing.

Now cleansing does happen during a fast but not much healing happens

during a cleanse. The difference being, if you are doing a true fast you

will be living in bed, basically doing much of nothing but getting out

of natures way so your body can heal. If you are cleansing you are

usually quite active and active bodies spend enormous amounts of energy

being active, instead of using that energy for healing purposes that the

fast offers. That is the difference and I do hope I stated that properly

so it is understandable.

Fasting can never be part of an herbal cleanse or a juice cleanse

because your body still has to deal with what you are putting into it.

Fasting on only water leaves very little for you body to have to deal with.
