However, it also applies to most any sprout. Wheat grass is a different story though as the wheat is now a 7 to 10 inch tall plant that you then cut and juice. Sprouts, on the other hand, are very small and just beginning to become plants. It takes a lot of sprouts to get much juice. So when you juice sprouts you will be consuming much more than if you were to sit down and eat a handful. As for buckwheat sprouts, well best is to just eat them in moderation. They contain fagopyrin which in sufficient doseages will make your body phototoxic. Not a good thing if you enjoy the sun.
